Wow, I'm just catching up on your progress. Needless to say those blank drawings are quite a tease! But the ceiling looks great! I love the valance and the painted black area above the aisle ways. That's exactly what I plan to do on my layout. I love the contrast and it will definitely enhance the diorama effect. I can't wait to see more pics of progress!

Rick, Jerry, John & Others,
The PDF files are currently in the hands of our forum's Administrator, and Joe will add them when time allows.
Please be patient. Also, I have other pictures and updates to add, hopefully before we leave on our San Francisco
trip at the end of July. After nearly a year, the county court finally released me from my probate responsibilities,
and the renovation contractor whom I have been assisting for the past month or so, is almost finished. I usually
visit the forum daily, but have had little time to respond. Thanks for understanding.

The pictures are not there.
I think the problem is that Allen tried to up-load pdf. files since he posted the following.
. . .in the future, one of our club members, Jan, will be providing some CAD drawings/PDF files which
will enable viewers to observe the Santiam Pass Lite in higher detail. . .
The problem is that the forum software will not allow this type of file to be up-loaded.
Since Allen only reads the forum occasionally maybe you could contact him to tell him that there are no pictures.

. . .With all of that hopefully behind you, how about some pics of your progress in the club room. Your fans await!!!
but due to several special projects which I must complete during 2009, my time will be somewhat limited until
further notice. So please, please, please be patient! Hopefully & eventually, things should get back to normal.

The first one shows the layout before our field trip, and the decision to include the bridge
between Lebanon and Brewster:
The second one shows the layout after adding the river and the single-track bridge:
The addition of this single-track bridge should result in a more realistic and challenging operation.

Hopefully Allen will come on here soon and up-date eveyone with pictures. I haven't been to the Club in over a month because of a knee injury and surgery.
From up-dates that I have received from some of the members, the benchwork is going up in the Staging area, I don't know much more than that.

An up-date to those that are interested, the benchwork has started, and the helix in the staging area is starting to take shape, another mile stone achieved.
Its beats digging dirt.

The ceiling looks beautiful!
Yes, that is Mike between Brad and Dan in the Picture. And the areas of separation of the Valance from the ceiling have been noted.
An up-date, last night Dean set up a vintage surveying transit and shot a reference line around the new basement walls so that when the L-girders are installed they are level.
The L-girders have been installed on three of the 4 walls.

Here are some final pictures of Saturday's efforts:
Below, looking West while using a flash down the South wall of the new layout room.
Next, the same shot without the presence of a flash.
Next, looking West with the flash to the center of the new layout room.
Below, the same shot without the presence of the flash.
Below, the final results ended in a sharp contrast between the corridors and the layout areas.
Below, Brad. . .
and Dean monitor the drippings of blackid="black"> paint on the floor surface.

Rick,
In the above picture, is the person between Brad and Dan, Mike? I want to make sure I got it right.
And for your information, back in the new layout room along the center of the West wall, I noticed
a foot or so of valance has separated from the ceiling. If you are there tonight, take a look! Other
than that, things look great!
