  • Sorry guys, only just got round to reading RRLF - been busy recording our CDs to the PC via iTunes - surfing all over the web to find the correct album covers!

63 CD done - 17 more to go and that's just the artists - got a 2ft high pile of Compilations and boxed sets to still get through!

Railway content - at long last found a decent copy of 'The City of New Orleans' by Arlo Guthrie.

Pug problems - not on my tracks, but then I am using all Peco track and points!

    Right back to the CDs

    • Best I did was 9 seconds David....but I only got one peeper!

      It is fun tho....

David (across the pond) are both rails same (code 83/70/100?)...

Seems if it rung good on one type should do alright on the others.

Maybe the heel of the rail is different on the PECO? I dont know,

I have never used that brand....I know you will figger it out!!

Larry... Your "honey do" list was worse than mine...You deserve a drink!

Tom....stay away from that Irish whiskey!!! It will turn yer hair red,

or make it fall out! Jameson's....UGH!!! Gimme that single malt "Glenfiddich"!

      • Good Morning everyone....Start of a beautiful day here in NYC. I am on the way to pick up bagels, danish and goffee/tea. I will leave the fire damped for when Tom gets here this morning.

More 1:1 stuff to do today...replace light fixture in the kitchen and contemplate all the neighbors leaves that blew in my yard before the last storm! :erm:

Packages arrived yesterday from BVM, EBay & from Keith W.. I was lazy and ordered the bridge rail w/guardrail inside for the trestles.

        All enjoy the day....Be well.

        • Good morning! Thanks for coffee and my favorites....

A fine indoorsy day with rain and sleet outside. We get a house full of visitors from Denmark for a few hours, but after that there should be time for a bit of modeling. I'll try to get the Klippfisk/Lutefisk house finished before bedtime, although that might be somewhat unrealistic with the boilerhouse roof needing slates, and a chimney too. But I can dream, can't I?

          Have a wonderful sunday all!

              • Morning,

Geezer thanks for the coffee and bagels.

Back outside to do some 1:1 work on the house after I finish some coffee.

It was 80 here yesterday and I got a nasty sun burn on my neck. So fire away with the southern red neck jokes.

Troels I look forward to seeing your progress.

David It took me 6 weeks to transfer all of my CD''s. It sure takes some time to get all the music on an Ipod but very convenient once you are done.

                • Geezer,

All my track is either Bachmann, Hornby, Airfix, Mainline or Peco Code 100 - there's a reason for that!

It makes sure all my UK chassis' run without problems!!

Early Hornby stuff didn't have RP25 profiles and would bounce off anything less than Code 100.

72 CDs down and Mrs B has just found another 20! - All being recorded to a PC that is going out to Crete - PC has a 5.1 Sound card & Speaker system coupled to a 22" monitor so that will be the main entertainment centre for us.

Hey, I even remembered to turn all the clocks forward an hour .... [:-sleep]

Geezer: The little Pug [:-dog] is running fine now that I have filed the frog points ... opened the gap a bit more. I know in 0N30 the loco's are suppose to run at a slow speed ... can that little guy smoke ....

Larry: The only sunburn I would get here would be from the reflection off the snow 8D ....

Another day of working in the tunnels ..

                    Have a great day .....
