    Good morning,

    Troels, thanks for the coffee.

Dallas I like the funky little critter you are working on.

Looks like it may rain again, well at least I don't have to shovel it.

    Have a great day everyone.

        Good morning,

I will put a pot of coffee on maybe that will wake some of you up.

The broom was out yesterday which meant I had to clean up.

I did try creating some decals with the testers decal kit but I was less than happy with the results.

The only way I could get the print to show well was with the white decal paper. Then when I would cut the decal out I would have a white border around the edges of the decal. Also when I sprayed on the decal protector I got some bleeding of the colors.

        Any ideas?

Mornin Larry - I used decal paper from Blick. I didn't have any problems

with bleeds & I used regular dull cote to seal the decals. JM 2cents.

            Geezer,

Did you use an ink jet or color laser jet?

                Good afternoon everyone.

Hope there is still some coffee left.

Geezer, I've made decals with the tester kit. I have an inkjet printer and ran into the same problem with bleeding when I first tried it. Now I let the ink "dry" for 24 hours before I spray on the decal protector. I've had no issues with bleeding since.

                Have a great day everyone.

                        Geezer,

The boss said I get a big raise for the bump in pay grade so I had to work hard today for that promotion. So here is the 1000th post![:-party]

Not sure if I have contributed that much or I just have a [:-bigmouth] and a lot of free time right now.

I have already been out spending the big bucks. The crew got 3 new cars today so they can figure out what will make the best rail cars and trucks for the pike. Found these on ebay for a very nice price.

Congrats Larry...1000 posts seems like a long way off for me. As far as contributions go, my Porters have DCC in them because of your help. So thanks for the info.

Congratulations, Larry. We are looking forward to the next 1000!

These are nice cars. Will you really turn them into railcars. Do you think the companies would have used so expensive cars for that? It's really a question, since I don't know how the management chose the cars to be transformed.

I've been going on with Arizona dream, but also with the Sn3 layout (I'm still working - very slowly - on the dismantling of the early version) and the Sn3 coal mining diorama. Nice variety.

                              Have a good evening, everyone.

I think the 1931 Caddy would be a real possibility for a railroad running in 1942.

The car would be 11 years old and based on the resale of the Caddy I had that was 8 years old [B)] It would have been no problem at all! I am sure I have a picture some place of a Canadian Pacific Caddy Railcar but it was a hard top.
The other two cars are a stretch My railroad was founded on a gold strike so the owner had more money than brains[:-blindfold]. Well I say that but my current MB is sure not worth what I paid for it either! :erm:

I got the three cars for $24.00 so I just could not say no.
