  • What happened to Boulder Valley Models?

Hi every-one, I was just trying to go on the Boulder Valley Models model website and it brings me to some thing about a computer program. :erm: I don't know why. Here is the website. http://www.bouldervalleymodels.com/

I was on it yesterday and it worked just fine.

    Frisco...

Dallas moved his website from AOL to this new location in October I believe. Dallas is a member here...maybe he will chime in.

[:-bigmouth] Straight from the horse's mouth! [:-bigmouth]

The BVM web site crashed :erm: early this morning. I spent the first 12 hours of the day trying to figure out what happened ... and ended up un-installing and re-installing the software. I'm now in the process of restoring everything.

        (Thank [:-angel] for back-ups!)

Edit/Update 10pm eastern, 12/20: All clear! Site is running again. Sorry for the incovenience ... and thanks for your patience!

It's been about this much fun: [:-censored] [:-censored] [:-censored]

PS -- I joined the forum because of my PERSONAL interest in On30 and other modeling ... I have a deep respect for the non-commercial nature of this site. I think I'm replying in compliance with the following part of the forum rules and apologize for any error in that regard:

        4. In accordance with the terms of the User's Agreement, paragraphs 2 and 3, manufacturers and/or their representatives are prohibited from making kit/product announcements or promotional statements outside of the manufacturer's paid forum area. Manufacturers may reply to legitimate questions/concerns/comments outside of the paid forum areas (e.g., The Craftsman's Corner forum area) about their kits/products, provided such questions/concerns/comments are made by forum members who have no business, financial, or compensated relationship with the manufacturer.id="orange">

PPS -- I did have a little "break" ... I got to go stand in line at the post office on the Saturday before Christmas ... that was fun too! Man, I'm really looking forward to some time out to do some personal modeling ....
        Cheers,

        Dallas

Thanks, Tom and all! The site is fully restored and functioning now [:-bouncy] ... thank goodness for back-up files ... I had them, I used them ... I heartily recommend them to everyone!

For my personal modeling, I do some rubber-gauging in Gn15 (G scale, HO gauge track) ... received a PSC G scale catalog in the mail today ... so now, I can take the evening off and browse the new catalog ... and look forward to some personal modeling time after Christmas ... some in Gn15 and ... of course, some in On30! [:-star]

Best wishes to all for a Merry Christmas [;-xmas], Happy Holidays [:-toast] and Prosperous New Year [:-tophat] ... with lots of modeling time!
              Cheers,

              Dallas
