  • Jan Feb Mar issue of The Canadian

The January February March issue of The Canadian along with the 2009 Calendars went to Canada Post today. Internet Members had their Canadians emailed to them this afternoon. Several have already responded and like the direct emailing of The Canadian in preference to the past practice of putting it on the CARM Website. I have attached a photo of the cover below.

One of my photos made the cut for the calendar as did photos supplied by CARM and Forum Members Dave Winters and Dave Burroughs. I have attached a view of the one of mine that was used. It was taken in Marion, Ohio and the two units were on a Norfolk Southern train. It is rare to see CN and CP power north of the border in the same consist.

Hi John, that's a great shot you took. Congrats on its entry in the magazine. Hey, at first I thought it was a shot taken on a model railroad!

Hi Mike, you had to be there. Three Canadians in Ohio, on there way home from the N Scale Convention in Louisville, Ky, we overnighted in Marion so we could railfan the diamonds the next day. The usual stuff until we heard an eastbound on the Norfolk Southern. A liesurely walk over to the track expecting more Dash 9's and then a "holy crap" and cameras started clicking.
