Hello PaulD,

the rails are glued onto the wood ties. The switch stand isn't operating the switch (plastic!), but it's operated by the switch machine under the board.

Hi Peter,

he promised to build also a 3 way stub - the other stuff I have to do on my own - it will be a challenge

Very impressive! I too am modeling stubs on my civil war era layout. I would like to know your techniques. Can you offer some tips? Also the harps are beautiful. Do they throw the switch? Are they hooked to a machine? They look functional.
