  • Saturday lounge

Another Saturday morning in the RR-L. The snow is continuing at a moderate rate, maybe 3-4” piling up outside the window.

Eggs, grits, American fries, sausage and bacon. Rye, wheat and white toast and fresh churned butter. Even oatmeal if you wish. Coffee is some exotic Michigan Maple flavor the Doll picked up over in GR Thursday.

The layout and bench in line as well as snow removal later.

Serious sounding mess in the South, no place to be when it snows. Cali still burning as the politicians are in the blame game.

Be well all, be safe and warm.

We have light snow in SE NH, maybe getting 2". The previous week was cold, but no snow cover. So the ground is frozen hard.

More work on Lamsons after a run to various stores (food, pet, etc).

Karl thanks for opening. A diet Dr Pepper please. Politicians, wouldn’t know their own asses from a donkey’s but they sure can place blame everywhere. If they’d look in the mirror they’d see issue

We should be heading home from the hospital in under an hour. The Hospitalist just left after f…ing confirming Terry can leave per her doctor who was here to check on her. Hospitalist barely spoke English but she got to confirm the release! What a joke. Terry is fine, numb but fine. Doc says by mid afternoon we’ll know if the procedure worked. She gets it done again on 1/21. Trigeminal Neuralgia is no fun to watch your partner in pain

      enjoy your day

Tom, we came across 'Hospitalists" for the first time when our aging parents were in and out of the hospital. What they didn't know about our parents and their conditions was astounding. Apparently a few 'current statistics' and a paragraph or two summary of 'what ails you'. Is a poor substitute for what your personal physician knows about you, your condition, and your medical history. To say that we were not impressed by this new hospital model is an understatement.

I hope that Terry is doing better.

Good morning Karl, Dave and the rest of the crew. It is 24 and snowing lightly here in S.E. Michigan. We have about 2" of new snow on the ground bringing the total out in the yard to about 6" since New Years Day.

Like Karl, snow removal will be on the roster as well as hopefully some modeling time.

Karl, we had a little spike buck like that in the yard this morning. I wonder when they will lose their antlers?

      Have a great day.

Thanks for opening and for the coffee and breakfast Karl

Tom, hope Terry's procedure works and her pain drops ot just goes away. My wife suffers from fibromyalgia and your right, seeing your partner being in constant pain is not fun.

Temperature here is a balmy -8c (18f), warmest it's been all week. A good thing about the cold weather is that it keeps the white stuff away.

        Have a great day everyone.

Morning crew. Just a cup of that Michigan maple. Already had breakfast. The wife fried up some scrapple I added two eggs over easy and some rye toast.

Had light snow overnight, perhaps an inch. Enough to cover the bird food I put out. I cleaned out the coal stoves ashes and then cleaned out the snow so the birdies could find the buried food and put more bird food out for the little critters. Quite entertaining while I eat breakfast. Next will be filling the hopper with more coal and we'll be go to go for a few more days.

Tomorrow it's of to Batavia, NY for the Batavia Train Show. I help my buddy, Dan, out at the show. Got some cash stashed away. never know if I might find a nugget somewhere.

          Stay warm.

Good morning. Thanks for opening, Karl.

It's good news about RRL Forums continuing for another year at least.

We have some very light snow falling right now but I don't think it's supposed to amount to much. I don't have any outdoors plans. We have an anniversary party to attend in the afternoon.

I'll try to do some modeling, working on bridge spans.

            Have a nice day.

Good afternoon crew. Hospitalist is a new one on me....Sound more like a medical hospitality-less.
