    Passenger car parts

    Two related questions: 1. If you have a LaBelle open platform kit, how do they do the end platforms? 2. Any suggestions/sources for open end platform parts, including steps and entire platform castings?

    Cal-Scale, (Bowser model works) use to offer a fine casting set. Håkan theought his Eight wheel models offers excellent etched metal hand rails for the platform ends. Or bend your own.

    I have used the Cal-scale ones which are very nice. The Labelle cast ones are to thick in my opinion.
    As Bob say I sell the etched ones through my Etsy shop for the Roundhouse overland cars. They are quite simple though and not as detailed as the Cal-scale ones.

        I got an old beat-up NESL coach kit on flea-bay, I figure I can salvage the end platform castings if nothing else. Plus I could look for cheap/beat up open coach cars (even the old MDC Overton cars) at Springfield....
