    Friday morning lounge

    Happy St. Patrick's day to all the green eyed gingers out there! Good morning all from rainy and 45f heading to 30f N.E. Indiana. The coffee urn has signaled READY with Boilerwash Blend. The special is a Breakfast Burrito w/wo chorizo. Cold cereal in those small boxes that you pour milk in, and eat right out of the box (please clean up that mess). All other drinks at the end of the line.

    Worked on my scratchbuild a little bit. Shoveled out the SUV and getting it prepped for the Elkhart Indiana train show on Saturday. Probably the best show in Northern Indiana. Quite a few Amish folks show up. They seem to love trains, and I think they are switching to solar power. One family bought about 50 pieces of flex track from me last year. We'll see what catches their fancy this year.

    Morning Jim and others,

    Thanks for breakfast and coffee, smells good.

    Spent 10 hours working on the layout yesterday and will spend much of today doing the same.

      Good morning all! Thank you Jim. 66 and cloudy on the Gulf Coast. Supposed to have thunderstorms today. A breakfast burrito with chorizo sounds great along with a cup of coffee. Just work and going to see my son's senior project presentation this evening. Everyone have a blessed day

        Good Morning All,

        Starting out today at 58F and getting to the low 80's later. The only thing on the agenda is continuing cleanup on the layout. Hopefully today I'll finish the engine servicing area.

          Morning all.

          The plumber got the water heater installed yesterday within the space of the old one (it's actually slightly narrower), so it won't interfere with the trains which pass it on two sides. I have an early morning haircut appointment and will reinstall the bridge I had to take out for the heater installation later today. Workspace cleanup and deciding what to build/do next is on the agenda as well.

            Good morning from S.E. Michigan where it is 48 degrees and cloudy. The rain has stopped, and the temperature will now start to drop all day. Tomorrow we will not get out of the 20's.

            I got quite a lot done on the layout yesterday and I hope for a repeat today.

            I sent our oldest grandson pictures of roof slates stacked in a row, along with the dimensions of a single slate. He used blender to develop the schematics for 3-D printing the stacks, and did one print last night for a test. Very close to perfect. He is a very good painter of War Game Figures, and will do some dry brushing on his sample today. If the individual slates in the stack don't 'pop out', he will adjust his schematics and do another test run. He sent me a video that captured his entire planning process on Blender. In about 15 minutes he had the slate stack (about 8' long) designed. Amazing to watch.

            Well, scenery is the main activity today. I might also make a card stock mock-up of a slate cutters shack.

            Sorry to hear about Malcolm Furlow. Talk about scenery making!

            Good morning, all. Seacoast NH is 40-ish and overcast, headed for 48F. Remaining snow from the Monday/Tuesday storm is getting thin. I'm off to get milk and sign some documents at our Town Hall, then I think I'll probably build an equipment case. I have equipment stored and on the layout that I'd rather have quick access to, and I think I have all the material out in the barn.

              Good morning. 53F and rai1any in northern WV; looks like rain all day.

              I worked on my depot yesterday, largely to figure out where I go with the roof. Today I'll probably do switching on my layout e to make sure all is running well for the open house.

                Already down to 34 from earlier near 40. Currently in Ionia N of home, Doll getting eyes checked and I’m going shopping at big Wally’s

                Furlow has been missing for quite awhile. His name raises praise or hackles at the mere mention. Praise from me. Loved his work.

                More later.

                  Top of the morning to you,

                  I have a day off of work today. I'll have a light breakfast given the better half and are going out for a nice lunch. First thing on the agenda is mowing and a little pressure washing. Looks like we're in for some rain starting tomorrow so I better get it done today. Workbench time list afternoon (and tomorrow and Sunday).

                  Good morning Guys, and all incoming crew. Thanks for opening the Lounge Jim with our morning coffee and chat. And my breakfast, guess I'll stay around for a longer time.

                  41 degrees and mostly cloudy, here in the Ocean State, Rhode Island.

                    Wife had to be at the hospital at 06:15 this morning, and I got her back home around 11:00. That makes for a -long- day. I've started to affix the electronic boards to the wood base that fits inside the enclosure. Brass threaded inserts, with nylon screws and posts. Should work well... Then I can do the 'final wiring', and start testing the full set-up. Plus my Scenic Express order is due today, so when I'm tired of electronics, I'll go add ivy to the tunnel portal/walls...
