  • Monday morning lounge

Good morning all, from 31f and cloudy N.E. Indiana. The coffee urn is READY with Ashpit blend. The special is a short stack of pancakes, and sausage patties. We might have to start overnighting some fresh eggs from James' hen house. The oatmeal pot is fresh and full to start the week. All other drinks at the end of the line.

Health club this morning and some model time this afternoon.

    Have a Super day!

      Morning All,

Cool start to the day. It's supposed to warm up then cool off again next weekend. This morning I have chores and I'm driving back to my buddy's house to pickup the kit directions I left behind.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Grey again with “warm” temps in MI, 30s….weird for sure. I’ll take it. Awoke way too early……about ready to go back to the rack…

No idea today’s plans…something will come along… maybe.

        Everyone be well.

Day 8 of Springfield Crud, but this might be the last day of it. After the cold start to the weekend, by last night taking the dogs out it felt positively balmy. I'll probably do a bit of work on my wagon kit.

Well, my wallet would certainly be heavier if I skipped Springfield.

This is unusual for me, even when I've picked up a cold, I usually get over it more quickly. Plus I was wearing a mask for most of the time (took it down to talk to some people.) Next year, full mask and lots of hand sanitizer.

Well, there's your problem source - talking to people! But this is one of the reasons I have stopped traveling by plane....trapped in a closed incubator.....

We've done several international trips plus a quick hop back to DC since the start of Covid, without problems. But then, airplane air is pretty well filtered. It's airports that are the bigger problem, I think.

Cool morning but going up to near 50 or over by the end of the day...another ride on the weather roller coaster.

Packing up sales on eBay today - more stuff departing,

But, then while at the Timonium show I picked up another brass tank car,

Thinking I might be getting that trolley off my bench today and progress on the rest there seems possible. Maybe a productive Mon. is in order?

Good morning from S.E. Michigan where it is 29 degrees and heading into the low 30's under partly sunny skies.

I had a productive day working on the layout yesterday. Update pictures later this morning.

I think that today will be split between layout work and some video editing. Time to get a new video up on my YouTube Channel.

            Have a great day!

              Morning all.

Seemed colder than 27 putting out the trash this morning, but supposed to get to 50 later. I'll grill up some steaks for dinner since it will be almost springlike. Some work on the vehicles the last two days, but not a lot of ambition here.

Good morning. It's a chilly 37F and cloudy in northern WV.

I have no definite plans for the day. I'll stick around while the builder works on the bathroom if there are questions. I have a trip to the local big box store for a wood finish, and my wife and I will probably go out for a walk. Otherwise, I hope to do some modeling.

                Have a good one.

Good morning Jim, Crew and incoming. The cold weather has moved on and So. Central Wisconsin should hit the 30’s every day this week. My personal cold has lessened. Just some cough medicine yesterday at bedtime. Starting to get some energy back.

I play chauffeur for Terry today as she has medical appointments this morning that require she have someone with her. Depending on how she feels after we will have brunch out. Hopefully when home I will finally after 7 full days away get to the train room.

                  enjoy the day

Good morning Guys, and all incoming crew. Thanks for opening the Lounge Jim for the coffee. Nothing better than a cup of coffee first thing in the morning.

39 degrees and sunny for todays weather, here in the Ocean State, Rhode Island.

A lazy day ahead I think. . Time will tell.

Everyone have a great, safe and healthy day ahead. I'll see you all on the RR-Line Forum.

                      Good morning everyone.

Jim, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.

Tucson weather: Sunny, with a high near 63. Light and variable wind becoming northwest 12 to 17 mph in the morning.

Got a nice hike planned for today.

                      Have a great day everyone.

Good morning, all. Jim, for some reason (possibly uncrowded conditions, fresh air and snacking on bugs) the current bird flu has not bothered my old hens at all. All that I've lost have been to predators when out of the coop.

The NH seacoast is "see your shadow" overcast and headed for the 40s. Through next week the coldest daytime highs are about freezing, and several will be 50+ F. Not like any other February I can recall. Guess I'd better prune my orchard this week.

I have to work on my next NERx clinic, the HUB's upcoming ops weekend and Seaashore stuff. Then up to the much more comfortable attic.

Regained my strength and a little teeny bit of my sanity, very little,…..got back up and made a batch of biscuits and sausage patties…never up to Ms. Sweeter’s standard, but no lard or buttermilk, nor years of S. GA sun to bank on…..one of a kind, be 50 years this summer the day before my birthday. Lost Grampa Nelson that Spring…the day after I drove down to see them after several years away at school and such, like he’d waited to see me one last time….a dark time for sure, as many experience with the family patriarchal changes…evils arrive..or surface…the changed will under sleight of hand…creaks, cracks and crevices arise…the once bIg happy turns…Ma and Pa’s gone no need to play nice anymore….

Had another different acting batch of sculptamold yesterday. Very short seeming working time, pot life. Also did a little primer job on the truck model I’m futzing with, basket case right out of the box.

Have some eBay sales prep in mind, today, maybe.

                          Thats it, onward…

                          KS-II……
                          it’s still grey….

                            Mornin' All!

24, headed for 33 under the grey blanket here in the northern mitten today. The Springfield Crud is still hanging on, but I think I'm winning. The tree guys are down by the road removing the stuff that's threatening to fall over on the driveway, so that issue is being resolved, and I may actually feel good enough to go grocery shopping this afternoon. Thrill a minute around here.

Glad TomO introduced the pilot who got the spy balloon. I suspected this, but it was nice to have it confirmed.

Make it a great day, All, and stay safe!
