    Thursday morning lounge

    Good morning all, from 39f and raining N.E. Indiana. The coffee urn has signaled READY with Brake Pedestal blend. The special is a short stack and sausage patties, scrambled eggs on the side. The oatmeal pot is just past the halfway mark. All other drinks at the end of the line.

    Anybody else have a doze problem watching youtube videos? They are 'sleeping pills' no matter what subject you watch. I went through one four times today to get through a 42 minute video. About 12 minutes, and the lids start to drop. Must be a subliminal thing going on there. Big Tech mind control. . Monotone voice by a guy who shows up on a magic carpet. 1000 page user guides not much better.

    I better get going to the health club.

      Good morning Jim and incoming Crew. Thanks for opening. The weather in my So Central part of Wisconsin has turned white. The TV guy at 6:20 last night said absolutely south of Madison would be spared. By midnight and bedtime we had about 2” of the stuff. Must have moved on because that’s still what I have on the driveway this morning. It’s the 1st decent white fall since 12/23 and I didn’t miss it.

      I was waken this morning at 5 by what sounded like a jet turbine in the back yard. Turns out that’s how the apartments across the street cleans the sidewalks of the WGFA. They blow the stuff away. But the noise! That not how we did it when we owned the complex but whatever…

      Working on some weathering projects and will do some more today

      Good morning, Jim and crew. We're going to be in the 60's today, so I'm going to be doing some outdoor painting with a rattle can.

      The Tidewater Division is having their annual white elephant sale on Saturday, so I need to pull things off the shelf and tagging them for sale. I need to be ruthless and move kits I know I'll never build.

        Good morning from S.E. Michigan where it is cloudy and 35 degrees. No snow here, maybe soon they say.

        Off to the Jeep dealer for a free oil change this morning. Down in the basement after that.

          Good morning everyone , I joined last year because of the closing of another forum, I fell into a modeler's well and didn't feel like modeling at all for months. Now I've decided to try to get my act together again and start posting to this forum, I just hope I can used to waiting a bit longer to read and write posts.

          I model in N-scale and my layout is named The Kannewton and Clay Center and can be found on my website http://janbouli.com/. I love building structures , most of them N-scale but I've built a few H0 kits as well.

          I live in the Netherlands , not far from the German and Belgium boarder , I speak Dutch , English and German fluently and I get along in French and Spanish, my other hobbies are playing golf and F1

          Hope this is the right place to share this , otherwise please admin move it to the appropriate place.

          Starting out at 61F today. Probably going to Sam's Club today. Everyone in the house has been given clearance from Covid so that's good.

            The one video guaranteed to put me to sleep is Al Westerfield's video on his car kits.

            Tom, I usually celebrate a blood drawing by a splurge afterwards :-)

            The $100 refurb Windows laptop I got for Arduino and JMRI arrives today. I'll check it out, and then take it to a local IT guy to strip all the unwanted stuff from it and lock down the firewall, etc. (Learning Windows administration is at the bottom of my "list of things to do.") I expect it'll cost as much to secure it as it cost to buy it.

                Good morning Guys, and all incoming crew. Thanks for opening the Lounge Jim. As you all know there is nothing better than a cup of coffee to start off the day.

                I get the same effect watching YouTube videos Jim.

                Cold 38 degrees and rain for todays weather, here in the Ocean State, Rhode Island.

                Not much in progress for me today.

                      Good morning (barely), all. No modeling yesterday, I was at Seashore learning to drive our old B&M Fairmont 8-passenger motor car (and finding a tree on the overhead).

                      Good to see you on RR-Line, Jan. I recall watching and commenting on your activity elsewhere.

                      I was actually casting a shadow in the thin sun through the overcast when I started this post, but no longer. The NH seacoast is about 40F with rain and sneet forecast after sunset. A lot has been said about this storm but the last Maine forecast I saw said 5-8". We may get 2-4 of what will probably be pretty wet, and below freezing nights Friday and Saturday may even make it crunchy. Today it's paperwork and an on-line meeting, then probably some modeling late afternoon and evening.
