Many that have been following my "Rock Crusher" project may wonder why the fascination with animation. I've always wanted to animate the loading of scale model cars and the moving to another facility to unload or trans load into another gauge. Coal mines and a quarry operation come to mind. There are many others but these two are the main focus of my interest. I've done years of research into how the real one's operated. I started experimenting with a conveyor system but couldn't find any material that was pliable enough for a scale HO conveyor. Then in the beginning of 2016 a post in Model Railroad Hobbyist forum got me really inspired, plus it solved some of my questions. If you're interested to see what piqued my interest, here's a direct link to that post.

Mario & BIce are the builders and owners of this diorama. It is a great inspiration to me to build that animated quarry.
If you don't want to go and read a lengthy post here's a two-minute video showing their diorama at Trainsmania.
