  • Sunday Morning Lounge

Good morning from sunny S.E. Michigan where it is 23 degrees and topping out at 35 later today.

I can't find the keys to the van for our usual Sunday morning trip to the Greeks, so we will have to make do here in the lounge.

Breakfast is Bacon, eggs, and sourdough toast with plenty of Ash Pit Blend Coffee.

Yesterday includes some shopping and some work on the layout. More of the same today.

    What is on your agenda?

    Good morning everyone.

Bruce, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.

Sunny and 70's here in Big Bend NP.

Did a couple of hikes and took lots of pictures and will do the same again today.

    Have a great day everyone.
Follow along as my dog and I travel the country in our van.

Good Morning Jim and those to follow,

Slow start to the morning here. I think I'm the only one awake in the house. Have a few chores and I think the wife mentioned Wally World yesterday...joy.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning Bruce and inbound Crew. Nothing wrong with a Sunday stay at home breakfast. I will hit up my diet Dr Pepper. Today is the first day of my using the diabetes drug Ozempic and I am re-reading the instructions for maybe the 4th time. I will eat a bit later.

Some operating for me this morning 15-30 minutes and then over to the local ice rink for the grandson’s hockey game at 10:40. After we come home I will have the Bear/Packer game on the monitor with the sound off as I form up some wire armature trees. Hope to get about 20 formed during the game.

Good luck with the new drug! Drink lots of water and monitor your sugars closely for the first couple of weeks. Maybe carry some glucose pills or candy... I had a bad reaction (very low sugar) when I went on a new diabetes drug, not an experience I'd care to repeat!

Thanks Dave. I did the injection around 9 and no affects so far. I was told about the water by my Endocrinologist. I normal
drink 4 of the 16.9oz bottles a day. Doctor said do not skip below that. But, I seem dry today, never thought it might be related. Thanks about watching the glucose. No one mentioned that but makes sense. I pack glucose tablets and a fast acting spray in my monitor case that hasn’t left me since January. Lower BG levels have scared me a few times this year and is one of the reasons she took me off Gliperzide. Thank you I appreciate the advice

Good morning Bruce, Rick, Curt, TomO, and all incoming crew. Thanks for opening the Lounge Bruce. Nothing better than a cup of coffee to start the day off.

38 degrees and sunny, here in the Ocean State, Rhode Island today.

Not sure what today will bring for me yet. Maybe I'll get close to the bench.

Everyone have a great, safe and healthy day ahead. I'll see you all on the RR-Line Forum.

            Morning all.

Nothing planned here, just a lazy non work day.

Good morning. Thank you for opening, Bruce.

We have 28F and sunny skies here in northern WV. The walk today will be brisk indeed.

Yesterday we went down to Beverly WV to help our daughter with a pop up holiday sale sponsored by the local historical society. . She sold baked goods and other items in aid of her cat rescue charity. My wife had spent Friday afternoon baking.

Today I might get back to the bathroom cabinet I am making. The builder is coming over Monday, so that project is getting off the ground soon.

              Have a good one.

              Mike

Morning. Volunteering at the annual NMRA HUB Division show today. Yesterday I picked up a Jordan Mack railbus for $24 and a Model T and popcorn wagon for 2 bucks a piece.

                    Morning everyone and everyone else,

Slept like c**p last night just thinking about all that needs to be done. We got the new oven and microwave delivered this morning. That was a surprise for sure. The Babe is learning how to turn it on and all the neat stuff it does.

I now have all the Christmas stuff in one location, other than what is already in use. Now it will all go back to one location after Christmas. Next year I'll know where it all is located.

                    Have a great day ya'll.

                    Tom

Good morning! Working on the railroad here this morning. Late night last night watching the Michigan game. I hope everyone has great day. Dan I think it has been 3 or 4 years since I have been to a train show - I need to fix that.

A Sunday expedition to Costco to pick up my better 1/2's contacts.......what a zoo! Grabbed some other stuff that we probably could live longer without.....

Trying to wrap up a caboose kit for a review......but it needs "improvements" added....so that wrap up will likely not be today.

Football and reading today (something about miRNA and whatever tops the stack....sigh) and breaks to the bench in the shop are on tap today. Nice sunny day but 20 degrees colder than yesterday - was up to 60!
