  • Thursday, why isn't it Friday?

After yesterday's much needed rain, another bright sunny day in SE NH. We could use much more rain, though.

Bagels and lox, cream cheese, butter, apple butter on the spread. Anthracite Blend in the coffee pot. Glue in the oatmeal pot.

K9Wrangler, can you tackle tomorrow's opening again?

I think it's not raining Bacon and strong hot tea.......

Maybe if it warms up enough, I'll get in some painting today. Need to make a run over to the PO and maybe HD as well.

And then some tiresome nonsense to get my office computer back on its network........gotta jump through the hoops......retired and jumping through the same tired hoops.........when will I make an end of it?

    So it goes......

In a time like ours seemings and portents signify. Ours is a generation when dogs howl and the skin crawls on the skull with its beast's foreboding.

The water level during the fall. The dock with the white box on it is where the boat gets tied up. Usually the floating dock is level with the main dock.

          Good Morning All,

After my morning walk I did some jobs around the house. Next up is placing IR sensors in the track ballast. I think we're supposed to go out to supper tonight with daughter and family.

I hope everyone has a good day.

            Good morning everyone.
Dave thanks for the coffee and breakfast.

Weather here at Badlands NP: A 50 percent chance of showers, mainly after 3pm. Cloudy, with a steady temperature around 45.

Had a excellent two days here at Badlands but it's time for the next adventure.
Not sure yet where that will be but it will be more to the south.

            have a great day everyone.

For what it's worth, I strongly recommend Glacier National Park and its "Going to the Sun Highway" as the best mountain drive I've done. Not something you'd want to drag a trailer up, though... And you can't beat Yellowstone, either.

            Morning all,

Not much on the agenda this fine day. I'm in the train shed just cleaning up for the next project.

            Have a great day all.

Rain and 50s snuck in on us mid morning, AHM thankin’ yesterday may well have been the peak of the autumnal splendor if the wind, rain and gloom occurs as forecast. Colo(u)rs were spectacular as we drove up M-77 to Grand Marias on the Superior shore, and I forget the foto-fone. Quite a few folks enjoying the 70s even with a very light rain toward twilight. Crossed paths with one fellow that had apparently looked at the radar and said, enthusiastically “Nothing like a good storm!” And sat down on the bench seats to get a view… I’m sure it was not to his expectations. I’d hoped for clear sky as the Aurora has been active lately. So I join his disappointment Lots of rock pickers tho.

A couple hammer and nail or maybe Dewalt and screw projects to tinker with.

Dave; I’ll give it a go with opening tomorrow, but anyone gets hungry, don’t be shy, the key is under the mat(easy to find so burglars have less chance of busting up the door jam) if they look.

Bernd, nice looking lighthouse. Mine is 2’ tall with a solar rotation light after dark. I’d expect nothing less from the master craftsman. Nice. Mine looks like it was made by a kindergarten class in Taiwan.

Time to go, the foot tapping, “well, here we are….” has begun…where’s that damned hammer

My is 13 feet tall. It was given to us by the trailer park owner because his wife didn't want it in her yard. I built a rotating light using two LED spot lights. I'll take a picture of it when we get home to show you the rotating light works.
