  • Hurricane Wednesday

Ian makes landfall today, hope everyone in Florida is hunkered down and safe. While we can still get it :-), there's fresh orange juice alongside the coffee, bagels, cream cheese, and Jim's leftover oatmeal from yesterday.

    Good morning Dave.

Our son lives in the Sarasota/Bradenton area and has gotten out of Dodge.

This one looks like a real bruiser.

      Good morning everyone.

Dave, thanks for the coffee and bagel.

Weather here in Rapid City: Sunny, with a high near 86.

Positive thoughts for all in Fl.
      Hoping for the best.

      Have a great day everyone.

        Morning all,

It's raining here in Central Fl. and will continue until Friday. I couldn't get my generator started. My wife panicked and ordered a new one which won't get here until after the fact. So, I'll fix and sell the old one and use the new one for the next hurricane.

        Dave, thanks for the juice.

        Have a great day ya'll.

The book event for Pete Souza former White House Chief Photographer under President Obama and Assist Chief Photographer under President Reagan was a great time. Dinner with 4 friends and my sister was a nice birthday surprise #71 for Terry. They also had a good time at the book release thing.

Tonight is softball night for the granddaughter at 6 and then a combined b-day party with cake for Terry yesterday and mine tomorrow.

Tomorrow we are back on the road. The sister is joining us again. The goal is Ashland, Wi with a stop at the Leinenkugel Brewery in Chippewa Falls, Wi. and then lunch at a place that appeared on Dive ins, Diners and Dives in Cable, Wi. I will make phone calls today to confirm they are still open and serving the featured foods from the show. We have found many of the places only serve the featured foods to the locals via different menus. It is possible this trip that we can hit 6 places that appeared on the show.

Gas prices are up here at home. $3.99 for regular for my VW. $4.59 for premium in Terry’s 2 toys. The SUV will be the chariot again for this adventure due to space in the backseat.

On the hurricane watch - MiL is in Ft. Myers........

Paperwork day wrapping up galley proofs for both pubs, I hope! Cut up all the oak logs yesterday and split a few just for the fun of it - nice straight oak....break time today will be ranking it all up and tidying up that whole area.

Got a gon to deal today, too. Hope to get into doing some resin casting today - test out the new molds and play with old ones.

Gas prices are up here at home. $3.99 for regular...
Odd.......they are down and down again here - $3.34 here....

            So it goes....

Good morning once again Guys, and all incoming crew. Thanks for opening up Dave. And with the coffee. We just have to get that Coffee, it is the best way as we all know to start off the day.

57 degrees, and sunny here in Rhode Island today.

I hope the best for all in Florida. They usually dodge all these events, but this one seems to stay in there direction.

Everyone have a great, safe and healthy day. I'll see you all on the RR-L Forum.

Good morning. Thanks for opening, Dave. I'm ready for a second breakfast.

Down in the forties today but it will warm up to the upper fifties. Fall is here.

We are away from home the next few days, hoping the rain does not dampen our activities. Our concerns pale in comparison to FL residents, so we will be listening to the news.

                Have a good one.
