  • ' And the Band Plays On at Andorra Villa Park'

Andorra, a very tiny country located at the tops of Spain and the lower part of France in the eastern Pyrenees, mountains. The US military, His majesties Royal Naval Intelligence, secretly operated with the French resistance gathering information on the enemy. Their operations went undetected until after the war ended. Locals would put on concerts, and offered foods that were liked by the American Military, that also kept the area safe. Here is one of their concerts at Villa Park, 1943.

WOW, Ted that is a great gathering of figures, and very well placed. Outstanding job with those scenes.

What a terrific scene…so many vignettes of people caught at what they are doing. The fellow in the London Fog and tall slim gal in the red dress….the imagination…I swear I’ve seen the bald, belly dude somewhere….hmmmm, the mirror maybe…

Nice work, lots of premeditated things going on there. Well done!

          Ted,
Great job on the scenery and the placement of people. You captured a vignette of a concert beautifully!

Ted, terrific scenes with lots to look at and look for. Reminds me of photos of Miniatur Wunderland.

Looks like a fun time, Ted. People enjoying themselves: can't beat it.

Great job on all the details and people.

Thanks Gents!!! was a fun project and based on factual events. I love painting figures, bringing them to life...

Louis, some of the figures are from Shapeways, 1/48 scale. Not familiar with outlet you mention. But, Shapeways, Printle' Is the one I have ordered many, many figures. You may want to take a look at "Model U Figures, in Great
Britain. Excellent 1/87, real scanned humans, made into models. Many detail pieces as well . figures from 1800s on up to current times.. Alan Butler, nice guy. He may consider creating a line up of items you have in mind'...
