Thanks, Louis, I downloaded your .PDF and used some of that text to create a slightly shorter SBS for the apples. It's getting close to mac picking time.

Bill I knew I had it some where. Loved the article so kept it for future use. Hope you can do some thing with it. I have all the pictures that go with the PDF as well.

Thanks, Bernd. I tried searching a couple others ways without any luck either.
Thank you, Louis. Unfortunately that was among the earliest threads I posted and it never occurred to me to save any kind of backup.
Good luck! I found a couple photos on my backup drive and sort of redid the lost first post for the thread!.Last edited by Bill_Gill; 08-06-2022, 05:28 PM.

Bill I had the same problem here with my Home Brewed Railcar; https://railroad-line.com/node/36134 All my pictures and information of the build was lost.
I don't know if you keep PDF's of your builds like I do. I just compressed my PDF into two Parts, and posted it into that thread as an edit. A compress PDF isn't as good as the original post, but it is better than nothing showing. Just my 2 cents worth here.
I thought I had copied your article, but can't find it anywhere.

Sounds like the forum system software took some bytes out of your apples.

Bill, I don't know of a way to restore your first post.
Odd that only the first post is missing.

Can part of lost thread be recovered?
Back in 2014 I started a 2 page thread on making Macintosh apples. Most of it is still available here:
https://railroad-line.com/node/32254
But the initial post with the SBS for actually making the apples is missing. Is there a way to find/recover that?Tags: None
