  • Wednesday morning lounge

Good morning all from 77f -> 90's overcast N.E. Indiana. The coffee urn is READY with Ashpit blend to follow the weather. The special is biscuits and black peppered sausage gravy. Oatmeal pot for an alternative. All other drinks at he end of the line. Smoothie machine is ready to go.

I put together few more signals yesterday, and today I've got to wire up a signal bridge I'm building for my buddies layout. Double track main with diverging tracks coming off both sides.

Hot, sticky, and buggy will keep me inside today.

    Have a Super day!

Good morning, Jim, Tom and crew. It's another day in the 90's here in Tidewater Virginia. I'm about to head to the airport USO where I'll spend the morning. This afternoon is a doctor's appointment. Maybe I'll get some workbench time in later this afternoon.

        Good morning everyone.

Jim, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.

Another steamy day in the 90’s here.

Currently sitting in the service department waiting room.
        Haven’t planned anything else yet.

        Have a great day everyone.

          At least it isn’t a doctor’s office.

Good morning to the entire crew. It is overcast and 70 degrees now in S.E. Michigan. We might reach 90 later today - first time near 90 in weeks.

The deck is done and looks great. That is the last of the 'big ticket' projects for this summer.

Some mowing is on the agenda.

        Have a great day!

Good morning all, thanks for the breakfast. As long as I have been a member of this forum I have never come to the lounge. I guess

I should start doing so, it seems so friendly. It's going to be another HOT one here in south central Pennsylvania. I am at a stop as

far as modeling right now and looking for the urge to get up steam again.

          Have a great day everyone,

Nice and cool this morning but that's not going to last - enjoy it while you can.....

Painting and finish work in the shop today. More office work - reconciling and backing up the computers.......days of fun.....

Tomatoes are coming in fast now. Peppers are starting to produce....squash look nice but.......well, they look nice.

Good morning. We have 73F with a ligh in the eighties expected in sunny West Virginia.

I'll try to get out to mow this morning; probably the front yard. It needs to be done before I leave for another weekend.

Yesterday was a work session building benchwork at the club. The end is in sight. Another member started laying track. He's an N scale modeler who appears to be laying HO track with N scale precision. No modeling of my own but I'll try today, interspersed with practicing my new songs.

            Have a good one.

Good morning Guys, and all incoming crew. Thanks for opening up the lounge Jim. Coffee, it is the best way as we all know to start off the day.

77 degrees, and mostly sunny here in Rhode Island today.

Not sure what today will bring for me. I'll have to play it by ear again today. Posted the finished Photographers critter yesterday.

Everyone have a great, safe and healthy day. I'll see you all on the RR-L Forum.

Sun just came out after thick grey earlier. It is supposed to gain the century mark on the feels like meter today with late day heavy storms a high probability.

After the Direct TV repair failed to show Monday, I had a fellow here at 0800 that fixed the signal issue, moved the dish 15’ to avoid a tree and changed the electronic do-dad, he called “the eye” on the antenna. It works fine now. Asked about the Monday no-show, said it wasn’t him, he gets a day’s assignment early in the morning and does what it says. Quick, efficient, man of few words.

No plans yet, something will come along.

Be well everyone. Welcome to the table, SgtBob!

                  Mornin' All!

Thunderstorms early on, temps now reported at 77, headed for 80, with the mess from WI headed east over the northern mitten today. Radar confirms stuff moving west-to-east, but looking out the window shows a definite south-to-north track on clouds and waves. Next round is around four miles away.... Wheeeeeee.

Quoting Karl, "Welcome to the table, SgtBob!"

Have made some progress on the station scratchbuild over the last couple of days, but need to concentrate on getting ready for the Huckleberry Railroad 40th Annual Railfan Weekend this weekend. Should be fun.

Make it a great day, All, stay dry, and be safe!

Already 89 in Marquette at noon, yet only 69 in Manistique and 77 with thunder and big lightning in Ionia, mid palm for those in Rio Linda

The other day, a story about a youngster identifying as a 'pet' had her ears altered to look like a deer, and was now called Fawn. I stopped by the Post Office yesterday, and the Postal Lady was wearing her nametag with "Dawn" on it. I mentioned the youngster from the other day...She looked at me and asked "What would she do in hunting season"? Hmmmm.

We got our EUR 9 German one month rail pass today. There are a few restrictions, like inter-city trains. But it works fine on all of the local transportation in Munich, which is all we need. Turns out I could have also used it to go from Salzburg to Munich, if we didn't mind 2nd class and a local train taking more time than the one we took. Another train note, West Rail is a lot nicer than DB.
