  • Tuesday morning lounge

Good morning all, from 59f and clear N.E. Indiana. The coffee urn is READY with Engineer's Special blend. The special is a short stack, bacon or sausage patties, scrambled eggs on the side. Oatmeal pot is fresh, and all other drinks at the end of the line.

I'm meeting my old crew for 1:1 breakfast in a little while. Then a side trip to Lowe's and or Home Depot. Then back to building turnouts in the shop. I think I need to build a jig to automate the frog and point filing process. I'll think about it anyway.

    I'm heading out.

    Have a Super day!

Morning Jim and others to follow,

The coffee smells good but I'm waiting on my Babe to we can go to breakfast together. Later, the day is all mine for time in the train shed.

It's 76 and climbing towards a high of 94 with 89% chance of rain in Central Fl. this afternoon.

    Have a great day ya'll.

      Good morning everyone.

Mostly sunny, with a high near 92.

Jim, thanks for the coffee and breakfast and enjoy your breakfast with the old crew.

Other then the monthly trivia night at Uno's I've got nothing planned for today.

      Have a great day everyone.

Poured rain last night so I get out of watering the gardens this morning. Coffee and 1/2 a sesame bagel.......

Probably getting hot today so it's home office and that little ore car project in my shop today. Have to make a decision about that frame; gold came off too easily in the inner section leaving a really interesting silver/chrome that is not coming off at all. Not in the bet of shape but not bad either. Either have to re-do it or just seal it all over and call it done. Have to consult SWMBO'd on the aesthetics and get a decision rendered......

Might take a run over to the library. Lots to return, some due soon, and 1 to pick up.

That's about it for today's agenda

        So it goes...

Good morning Jim and the rest of the crew. It is 67 and heading into the low 80's under sunny skies here in S.E. Michigan.

The deck crew will finish up this morning. That should be the last large project for this summer.

Heading out to vote in the Primary elections. After that, some modeling and reading.

          Have a great day!

Good morning Jim, Tom, Rick, Martin, Bruce, and all incoming crew. Thanks for opening up the lounge Jim. Coffee, it is the best way as we all know to start off the day.

76 degrees, and mostly sunny here in Rhode Island today.

Not sure what today will bring for me. I'll have to play it by ear. Getting close to finishing the photo critter.

Everyone have a great, safe and healthy day. I'll see you all on the RR-L Forum.

Good morning from So. Central Wisconsin where we are operating on the back up power generator. No clue why but the Contractor says we may have been hacked and is on the way with his specialist. The way he said that makes me think this has been happening. Can you say DOLLARS about to be spent!

My day is in the muck but enjoy yours

Good morning, Jim and crew. Tidewater Virginia is going to be in the 90's today. I've been out getting routine lab work done and we've done our walk. I think the rest of the day will be indoor activities.

Yesterday was a total write off, got up early for the DIRECTV repair and 8-12 repair window. As noon approached got text, “change to 12-4”, 4 arrived, nothing..text sometime mid afternoon asking if I wanted to wait or reschedule, opted to wait…5=0, then 6=0 Called them, thankfully had a nice young(.?) female, maybe, on the phone that arranged for a Wed am appointment. Won’t be so patient if THAT is a no show, I’ll blow up something.

Was out early, for me, went to son’s auto shop and had an alignment done on my Tacoma. On the way over, the corn is so tall all my landmarks were obscured and I missed my normal turn, no difference in distance so no big deal, just feel like the edge is off when that happens. On the way home I saw the corn on the normal turn was gigantic.

Going to ride along with the Doll as she runs some errands, procrastinating is going well.

Medium weather with lots of sun and moderate humidity.

                  Later y’all enjoy the day.

The predicted weather for today was "morning rain, mostly cloudy." US has no monopoly on weather mis-forecasting :-)

Good evening, all. Sunny, hot and relatively humid on the NH seacoast. Took a break from Seashore track work today to harvest an acre or so of spring wheat. It took about 3 hours to get my old All-Crop 66 tow-behind combine ready, except for a mouse nest that clogged the grain spout on the 2nd time around the field. I got the combine (s/n B69872 for any Allis-Chalmers fans) empty and back to its shed, then off to Newburyport where my stepson ran a 10-mile race. His mother and I saw him at the 2.5 mile mark, then I got her within walking distance of the finish quick enough that she got a video. 1:15 is a pretty good time for his age.
