To prevent warping over time, I glued some supports to the bottom side of the short roadway overpass.

The RIX side walls didn't fit together properly. I had to trim them at the bottom as shown by the pencil.

After I got a perfect fit, they were glued together and then glued to the roadway.

I used old RIX parts to hold the roadway in place to make a test fit.

I then removed the roadway section and added the side parts for the overpass.

I would have been afraid to take the bridge apart, but you made it look simple.

After getting the first section of the roadway complete, I turned my attention back to the steel bridge.
I made sure the inside of the truss bridge sides were smooth and ready for the next step in remaking a new steel truss bridge.

I used HO scale 6X12 solid styrene pieces and glued them to the inside bottom of the truss.
As you can see, I used Quick Grip clamps to hold the styrene in place as the glue dried.

Now I have lower side supports for the roadway.
I used .040" thick styrene for the road and cut a piece the same width of the first roadway section.
The styrene was scribed with expansion joints as well.
