  • Thursday morning lounge

Good morning crew, readers, and lurkers from 65f and overcast N.E. Indiana. The coffee urn is READY with Airhose blend. The special is Breakfast burritos with chorizo. Oatmeal pot is the alternative. All other drinks at the end of the line.

Mosquitoes are in full force here in mid July. The rains from a week ago spawned a fresh batch. I can't walk outside without 'sprayin' up beforehand. They absolutely love me. Did a lot of reading last night, after spending most of the day out in the shop. I filled 2 trash bins up with old car parts, etc. One recycle bin with old paint, resin, body filler, etc, etc. Anyone looking for a set of front bumper mounting brackets for a 65-67 Pontiac Tempest/GTO? Me neither!

Later today we will head down to Indy, to attend future daughter in law's, 'Book signing' event. This is her second book, and it was supposed to be announced/released today, but Amazon jumped the gun on it a week ago. Anyway, it will be a fun evening.

    Have a Super day!

Good morning, Jim and crew. I have no need for the bumper mounting bracket, Jim. You don't happen to have a license plate light for a '98 Nissan pickup?

It's going to be in the 90's in Tidewater Virginia. We're going for a walk while there's a lot of shade. Next, I have weeds to attack. This afternoon, I plan to head to the workbench.

Nice looking day so far but lots of power outages still ongoing in the area - north of here lots of trees came down with that storm on Tues.

Been to the grocery and back already - empty of people which works just fine for me,

Back on the car shopping trail today.......probably futile; no one has anything in stock, 90% sold in advance, few available to test drive....option to just pour money into mine is getting more real....and/or just not bothering with A/C...............sigh.

Decaling hopper cars......in between everything else.

      So it goes....

Good morning Jim and the rest of the crew. It is 62 and heading into the upper 70's here in S.E. Michigan under sunny skies.

Yard work - including mowing the lawn - is my plan for this morning. Some modeling time later in the day. Yesterday i took a Tyco 2-6-2 Prairie steam locomotive kit down off the shelf. I got most of the metal work clear of flash. Next will be to test fit the drive wheels.

        Have a great day!

Good morning from cloudy West Virginia. Currently 68F with a forecast of 83F later. Not bad.

I did a bunch of weeding yesterday and so the back garden looks better. Sometimes I think I'm just highlighting the desirable plants for the deer. Still, there are some plants they don't touch. I didn't get any modeling done but perhaps today will be different. Not much in the way of plans yet.

          Have a good one.

          Mike

Good morning Jim, George, Martin, Bruce, Mike, and all incoming crew. Thanks for opening up the lounge Jim. Coffee, it is the best way as we all know to start off the day.

77 degrees, and sunny here in Rhode Island at the moment.

I decided to start a Camera Critter project, so being summer time, it may not be built as fast as other projects go alone.

Everyone have a great, safe and healthy day. I'll see you all on the RR-L Forum.

Sunshine and pleasant amount of humids hanging in Michigan.

Took a trip to the farm loan company in Charlotte today and wrote a check paying off the note on our UP property. It’s ours free and clear.

Saw a fellow in Chartucky with a great day planned sitting in front of the old courthouse at the main 4 corner traffic light. Boom box blaring, puffin on his vape pipe watching “it”. If the fire siren goes off, what a show he’ll have!

Hope you pointed out that misaligned driver's side door on his truck. Probably just waiting for a government check to get that repaired.
