  • Monday Morning Lounge

Good morning from S.E. Michigan where the sun is shining and it is 67 degrees. We should hit the mid-80's today.

There's a pile of home fries on the grill and I can take orders on the how you want your eggs done. Both sourdough and whole wheat bread is there for toast. Our coffee is Railbender Blend.

Some work clearing dead moss from the patio and trimming some bushes is on the agenda. But first some errands in the car.

    Have a great day!

Good morning, Bruce and crew. Tidewater Virginia is supposed to make it to 80° today. My first task is to move the bird feeder. Our lilac bush has grown close enough for the squirrels to use it to jump to the feeder. I also have some other outdoor chores to do.

I plan to get some workbench time in this afternoon. My caboose project is going very slow.

2nd cup of coffee and beginning to feel modestly ambitious or maybe not...... Dropped the car off at the shop.

Dug up and moved one of the Scotch brooms (the smaller of 2) from the front of the house; no idea if it is going to survive; getting it out was a challenge. No idea how I'll get the bigger one out. Chain saw is a real option.... Azaleas apparently did not take the hint on the last pruning and are out of control; cherry laurel has clearly mated with some sort of alien and will have to be subdued.

Think I might spend the morning on the deck with the birds and a book -- yup, ambitious indeed I am.

      So it goes....

In a time like ours seemings and portents signify. Ours is a generation when dogs howl and the skin crawls on the skull with its beast's foreboding.

        Good morning everyone.

Bruce, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.

Mostly sunny with highs in the mid 80's.

Already walked the dog, did laundry and just finished taking pictures of things sitting in the garage that need to be posted for sale on FB.
Nothing much planned for later except time with my book and another walk with the dog.

        Have a great day everyone.
Follow along as my dog and I travel the country in our van.

          Mornin,' All!

73, headed well north of 80, cloudy and humid here in the northern mitten. Indications of thunderstorms this afternoon, and off-and-on rain all day. Good day to be inside, so we'll see what develops. Low, dark clouds gathering in the west are not omens for a good tan or coffee on the deck....

Make it a great day, All, and stay safe!

Good morning. Thank you for opening, Bruce.

It's 75F with mid-80s in the forecast today. I'll go out walking in a while before it gets too warm.

Yesterday I stained stripwood and built a new jig for making windows for my mountain home. Not much, but progress nonetheless.

Not sure what little jobs I will do around the house. We will see.

            Have a good one.

            Mike
