    Saturday morning lounge

    Good morning all, from 60f and mostly sunny N.E. Indiana. The coffee has signaled READY with Hosler blend. The special is corned beef has abd with a pair of sunny side up eggs on top, Texas toast, and grandma Sweeter's grits. Oatmeal pot is half full. Other bevs at the end of the line.

    Weather looks like I'll be riding the orange mower today, as it's finally dried enough, not to leave dummy tracks behind me. The golf course folks down the road looks like they forgot how much rain we've had in the past week. It'll look OK after the next rain.

    The humidity has dropped, so I'll be airbrushing later this afternoon. I've got engines that have been waiting in line for quite a while.

    It looks like Tidewater Virginia is going to get rain this morning. I'm leaving soon for the dump with some junk from the garage. Thanks for the corned beef, Jim, it'll will carry me through this morning.

    Halfway between here and the dump is the train club, so I'll be spending some time there.

        Good morning from S.E. Michigan where it is 61 degrees and heading up to 77 under sunny skies.

        A little weeding and some modeling are on the agenda. Steaks on the grill with a salad for dinner.

          Rain through the night and more most of the day - plans to do stuff on the road and in PA got cancelled with yesterday's incoming weather maps.......so it's indoor office and workshop time today. Waiting on decals to arrive for hoppers, so soldering up the rest of the brass bits onto a gondola today.

          2 cups of coffee and a sweet sausage, and I'm almost ready to think about maybe doing something today; maybe watch some of the finals at Wimbledon...

          Got a manuscript to review and some tech reading to catch up on, too.

          Pared away another NMRA job yesterday; had enough of wasting my time trying to help people. One last NMRA albatross hanging around my neck to jettison left.




          In a time like ours seemings and portents signify. Ours is a generation when dogs howl and the skin crawls on the skull with its beast's foreboding.

            Good morning. Thank you for opening, Jim.

            It's 68F and cloudy right now with expected high of 81F in northern WV. Nice day to get outside.

            A contractor is supposed to stop by soon to look at a bathroom renewal project we have. It's something we talked about for a couple of years. Consequently, yesterday I drew up some pans and conceptual sketches to show him.

            That will take up a lot of today for us. Maybe some model railroading later. We'll see.

              Good morning Jim and Crew. I will have the morning diet Dr Pepper. Rough end to yesterday for me. I feel fine now but went to bed last night shivering and with a high temperature. Feel pretty good right now. Scary to me as I am home alone. I did a home Covid test and it was negative.

              Any of the ideas of doing things today outside the house I have shelved until tomorrow. I am not going to test fate so I will stick around the house.

              I have not watched tennis in many years. I used to love to watch Jimmy Connors play. I couldn’t handle McEnroe antics. I know zip about todays players.

                Good morning Guys, and all incoming crew. Thanks for opening up the lounge Jim. Coffee, it is the best way as we all know to start off the day.

                75 degrees, and sunny here in Rhode Island at the moment. Going to get warmer temps as the day moves on.

                I've been down with, first starting as allergies, then moving on to settling in my chest, now for me it's sucking on a nebulizer 4 times a day. The mucus, I have no idea where it all comes from.

                I'm not sure what the rest of the day will bring yet. I'll have to see up comes-up.

                Everyone have a great, safe and healthy day. I'll see you all on the RR-L Forum.

                  Bad for allergies and chest congestion here, too. All that goo makes my belly act up during the day and head hurt at night.

                  I've been taking an over the counter (COSTCO) allergy pill every morning for the past 3 years. I take Loratadine, and Donna takes a Benedryl. About $6.00 for 365 pills. Haven't had a allergy problem since. I guess you need to figure out which variety works for you. Allergies still irritate me (especially when I forget my thinking cap), but it's short lived, and hasn't settled in the chest,

                Mornin' All!

                72, headed for 78, severe clear, and high grass pollen counts here in the northern mitten. Best wishes to Lou and Karl as they fight the seasonal glop.... Right now, I sem to be winning that battle, but that's right now, and there is a lot of "later on" to go....

                Managed to use the "extra rinse" cycle on the laundry to provide time to finish attaching the last braces to the Doodlebug conversion this morning. Some paint and weathering and it's ready for Prime Time. On to the Station project!

                  Happy Noon to everyone.

                  I have a break from my real work and I hope to get some track and wiring down on my staging level. The AC unit in the train room will get a workout ....107 degrees yesterday and 106 coming on for today. NO outside activities for me. I have a couple of unfinished projects on the bench but I am concentrating on the track laying first.
