    Thursday morning lounge

    Good morning all, from 72f, 95% humidity, and overcast N.E. Indiana. Another day in paradise! The coffee urn has signaled READY with Steam Whistle blend. The special is a Bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. Too muggy to put together any elaborate breakfast. The oatmeal pot is fresh, and at the end of the line with the other beverages.

    My package from the 'large woman' arrived yesterday with the 240 grit carbide powder I've been waiting on. I've got a few brass engines that I've been waiting to prep fro new paint jobs. So safety glasses and the respirator might see some action if the humidity drops.. It's rained here for the past 3 days, and I think I heard a Mynah bird squawking out in the woods.

    Good morning, Jim and crew. I'm watching the Tour this morning. For some reason I keep forgetting to do this. Once it's over I'm going for a walk.

    I cut down a crepe myrtle tree yesterday. It was a bigger task than I expected, so I'm not doing any outdoor chores today. By the way the crepe myrtle branches make nice log loads. This afternoon I'll be spending some time at my workbench.

      Broken overcast glistening sunlight off the gem like slightly disturbed lake surface. 60 going to 72? My guess is as good as any.

      The Doll’s daughter, husband and grand daughter just left and it’s quiet, the Doll is sad(ly) stuck here with me. No plans save for a run to the waste disposal place. Some outdoor things to delay as well.

      Pics,I’ve taken lately need work to get down to size limit to post so, I won’t.

        Good morning Crew and a great sandwich Jim. I will actually have that with the raw for me second diet Dr Pepper.

        Jim, I have not painted a brass locomotive since before my wedding in 1976. The guy who taught me used baking soda to sandblast the brass locos. He had a crude box to contain everything. Then everything was baked after painting in the oven. Mom, was not happy the 1st time she discovered that! Have fun, the graphite sounds interesting

        While we missed the severe storms and rains the last few days as they seemed to go around us we still had some tree damage from the high winds. Now a days I just drive the ATV and stay out of the clean up crews way. I did that yesterday. Have a great day

          Good morning Jim, George, Karl and Tom. Thanks for opening and for the coffee, Jim.

          We have 72F and rain in northern WV. I won't need to water today. The daylilies are blossoming like mad.

          I wrapped up work on staining the baseboards yesterday, ready to deliver back to our daughter. I also swept out my side of the garage and threw away some junk. All that while the AC man worked on our system. It's working now but they will come back to check for leaks.

          My plans for today are uncertain. Maybe some modeling, reupholstering, music practice, and NMRA stuff.

            Good morning Jim and the rest of the crew. It is 65 degrees under sunny skies here in S.E. Michigan. Both the temperature and the humidity will be in the mid-80's later today. A day to work up a good sweat I would think.

            A morning run to the Post Office and produce stand. Other than that, not much on the agenda. Since i mowed the lawn yesterday, and other yard work can wait for a day with less humidity.

              Mornin" All!

              73, headed north of 80 and severe clear here in the northern mitten. Hum-diddy is north of 60%, and that does not bode well for a comfortable afternoon. Errands to run, laundry is progressing, and admin staring at me. With those under control, I may get some bench time today. Should note that UV index is "very high," so limiting my time in the sun is a "Dang Fine Idee," as the late Mike Chambers's avatar would say. Make it a great day, All, and stay safe.
