I will be giving a live clinic to members of the Sunrise Trail Division (Long Island) on this coming Tuesday evening.

You are welcome to join in! The info follows:

February 16, 2021 at 8:00 PM eastern time 7:00 PM central time: The Natural Ice Industry by Bruce DeYoung. Many of you enjoy a ‘cold one’ while modeling or viewing this series. But did you ever give a thought about how the ‘cold’ got into that product? We have only had home based mechanical refrigeration for about a century. So how did our great grandparents keep things cold before and during the World War I era? How many of you model scenes during this same period and are looking for appropriate and interesting industries? Join Bruce DeYoung MMR as he discusses the Natural Ice Industry in the late Nineteenth and early Twentieth Centuries and the symbiotic relationship that developed between that Industry and the railroads.
