Thank you Scott, Pete, Mike Bob, George, Karl, Greg, Jerry, and Rich.
More progress. Walls are getting glued together, signs are going on!

It looks like Kate offers some hearty food!

Thanks, Pete, Karl & Rob.
Karl, we had our first Pastie a few years before we moved to Michigan. We were on a trip that brought us across the UP and stopped in a little roadside cafe. Yummy. Now we buy them locally from time to time.

I've been working on some rough details for the interior of Kate's dining area. These details would not stand up to close scrutiny with a removable roof, but are fine for "through the window" glances.

Wow Bruce. Nice interior. you said it's only for "through the window" glances, but plenty enough detail there. And you're lighting it up, which is always a nice feature.

Thanks, Jerry, George & Rob.
Today I will start on the foundation. There was none provided with the kit materials. I decided to try the stone foundation sticks from RSLaserKits.

Bruce,
The interior looks mighty fine. It’s a real down home place with the bench seats and checked tablecloths. I noticed the picture too. Is that the original Kate’s?

Funny story. Also an indication of the impact that the photos on the Forum have in the larger world.
I plan on placing Kate's Kitchen in the town of Bangor, PA near my slate pit scene. When I decided to add a photo to that large back wall, I Googled "Bangor Slate Quarry" for an image search. Low and behold, one of the pictures that showed up was my model of the Bangor Slate Office. So, I printed it out and framed it for Kate's.
It is amazing when I am searching for something on Google how often a picture from the Forum shows up.
Here is the office on my old layout.
