I've used a T-ruler to do the lines for shingles. I tape the roof down so it's precisely parallel to the edge of the workbench, so I can run the T part along the workbench. Works great.

BTW, I bought the 12" one. Thanks again.

thanks! i ordered a paint rack from micromark. it shipped fedex smartpost. from new jersey it went to memphis, on to mississippi, then off to kansas. it seems like a real stupid route to ship something from new jersey to the chicago area. i ordered a paint set from ak (spain) on the same damn day and got it two days ago. if that ain't a kick in the head....

I joined the crowd and purchased a 12" one tonight. Lets see how long it takes to get to New York from Texas.

I ordered my T- Ruler yesterday around 2:00 pm and just got an email saying it has shipped.
That's quick turn around I think.

I order mine after 10pm the night before and the e-mail saying it shipped came within 8 hrs. Will see how long it takes to get to middle Tennessee.

Rich, Kevin, Bernd, Darryl, Mike, I'm sure you all will find the T-ruler useful.

Wow- I should call the manufacturer and report I sold 5 units in one day!

Dave E- I use much the same technique.

Jim- Thanks for your comment!

Carl,

Your shingles look great!

BTW, I ordered my ruler on the 4th and it will be here tomorrow the 8th. Not a bad turnaround. Thanks

yep. mine's coming first class mail, so based in recent history, i won't get here until next week. mail delivery has been awful since before the election.

I got mine in the mail yesterday (sat) and laid out and cut shingles strips for my next project last night. Great little tool. Thank Carl.
