Frank, yes covers those bits, but still plenty to go. The enclosed stairs are now painted and attached to the building. And the rest of the windows & shutters are on. I will add some support posts and bracing later, and should be a nice wall for adding signs. With some temporary decking, and the little folks give it scale. So I'm omitting that. But I decided the roof was a bit too large an area to leave blank, so I've added a smaller, traditional type dormer window. The window itself is one of the vertical windows used elsewhere, but turned vertically. With shingles on. I didn't want to cut an actual hole in the roof, so I just removed the necessary shingles and painted the area black. The wife suggested putting on a second dormer, but I will only have the one, as I'll be putting a large sign of the right side. And have now put on the last two windows for the structure. I think your version of the dormer looks better suited to the structure, than the larger original one. It all seems to be coming together beautifully! Keep up the great work! Unfortunately, those "real" arty types wouldn't consider model railroading as art. Their loss. Thanks Greg, George and Mike. Yep, very happy with how the dormer looks. Having a window in the stairwell wall would light up the stairs, but would not let in much light inside the building, hence my excuse for adding the dormer to let some light in. And architecturally it looks right. George, I'll be adding some signs the the stair wall as well, which will again help with the plain wall look. Plus, who doesn't like lots of signage Fella's, I really appreciate all your continued interest in my build. I don't always get a lot done, but small increments is getting me there. The enclosed stairs and dormer are nice touches. The green and white scheme remind me of a lot of older buildings here in CT.
