Our November Gallery Theme is another one suggested by Rick. Tanks: Oil, Water, Propane, Tanker Cars, Trucks, and even military. If it is a picture of a tank of any type, post it here in the Gallery. As always, either model or prototype photos are welcome!

Terrible quality scan of an Ektachrome slide taken on the NYC branch line at the end of Bidwell St., Albion, MI is mid 1960s. Airco had a facility in Albion at one time. Broadway LTD has a similar Cryogenic car in HO, I have a pair.

Wow, some great prototype photos to get us started! Thanks, Rick and Karl.
We recently had a thread on the Forum about 'shorty' tank cars. This one belongs to long time Forum member Allen Hurst and visited my Jersey Highlands RR as part of our old 'interchange program'. (Plus the bonus air tank on the compressor.)

Here's a standard gauge logging company tank car I built using the tank and details from a narrow gauge West Side Lumber kit. I built it for a friend.

I scratch built a new flatcar for it and assembled it as usual. I used the leftover bits to make an HOn3 Flatcar.
