It's been quite a while since I visited Chama, and I don't remember paying particular attention to the skip rails.

Does anyone know what color the rails are?

The one photo that shows them that I could find on-line has a rusty color, which would make sense. But in that photo, they're pretty much the same color as the boxcar red paint on the structure :-)

That video is interesting, thanks. I picked up some detailing/weathering ideas. The lens on the camera gives a slightly flattened view, so this almost looks like a model :-)

What's the story with the tender on the ground behind the tower?
