For the second half of the month, we will change the focus of our Gallery Theme from scenery to structures - churches, and government buildings (schools, court houses, etc.)

Fire engulfed the 859 year old Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, leaving it badly damaged. The cathedral was begun in 1160 under Bishop Maurice de Sully and was largely complete by 1260, though it was modified frequently in the ensuing centuries.
The cathedral was engulfed by fire on the 15th April 2019. The building sustained significant damage, including the destruction of two-thirds of the roof and the spire.
