Yet another beautiful sunny UP morning. Temp in 50s going to 60s. Last weekend they had 4-5 inches of snow, it is all gone now.

We arrived shortly before 2 and got a room and then went right out to the property, the work is coming along great, the fellow “Rocky” has all the drywall up and and the first seam coat on all the walls and ceiling, it is fantastic, so much more then I’d ever hoped for, $$ is going North of that, too, but a little bit left in the funds so while I put on my best curmudgeon act I’m fine with it all. Hammerin’ Dan stopped over and gave me a ziplock full of fantastic smoked lake trout....what a treat that is!

Weather is so different, it was 72 all the way up to about halfway across the bridge when it started to drop into the mid 60s. STayed there until we got close to ‘home’ when it dropped slightly and the wind picked up greatly. Back in town, Manistique, the wind was really whipping up the waves and there were gusts to 25-30 and the surfers were out there bobbing like apples in the massive waves. I managed to set up with the camera on a tripod and, hopefully, took some video clips to try and weave together once we go back home. We then went to dinner and were enjoying a nice dinner when the TV was covering the media created end of election, and lost my appetite. I’ll not go farther. Property values in our area up here will be have been soaring, for sure. Lots of folks looking for retreats from burning cities and draconian dictatorship.

I watched 2 3/4 minutes of yesterday’s spartan football game. With that sort of performance I can totally disavow any connection with the university....small caps by design. The u as an institution is totally turning against any of my beliefs and values. The all mighty little boys team from S of us suffered another humiliation furthering the stellar rep of their second coming, little jimmy.

Today we’ll do some running around and enjoy the nice weather. Everyone have a good day.

Good morning from beautiful Wisconsin. Still 70’s today and tomorrow and on Tuesday the Fall wake up call comes back, high 40’s.

The grandkids yesterday were declared Covid free and while Terry was already having a super day, (guess why) this made her estastic.
This means we get the grandkids back on Monday for online schooling.

I will continue to be in the hobby room as the Ethanol plant except for the fermentation tanks has been sold and shipped out. I have a grain
facility I want to build in the space. Everything is on 2’ x4’ x 24” modules so easy to move around and rearrange. Operations at some of the
layouts between here and LaCrosse have started up. I am too nervous to go and said no to invitations. The pictures I saw posted from a
session yesterday had no masks being worn. I am definitely no ready for that.

Rick, give mom a big hug! Karl, you should still have some decent weather up there! Mike, will those prices on wood come back? Have a great day.

Another beautiful day here in Central NY going up into the low 70's; keep it coming.

Rick thanks for the java. Hope you find a job that you'll like; having to do this must be a real drag. How much longer until the big "R"?

Mike it's a shame that you have to wait on the planter; sounds like a nice project. Maybe wood prices will drop this winter.

Karl college football this year is a joke at best. Syracuse isn't doing so well either; not that I watch it. My only comment on the election is "yuk". Enjoy the time up North.

Tom hope all's well.

Jerry are you sawing lumber yet?

Philip go luck with the drawing and printing.

Going to be a rest day for me today and hope to get some more work done on the Farm. Not much else going on; although I did get the plastic sheeting on the back porch yesterday and maybe I'll start putting up some outside Christmas lights tomorrow. Man do I lead a boring life or what.

Be well and enjoy your day.

Good morning everyone.

Coffee, hot water for tea and a variety of cold sodas are ready to go.

Sunny, with a high near 77.

Jerry, congrats on getting the wood.

Larry, as long as you're getting things done I don't think it's boring.

Tom, I would have given Mom a hug but we had to stay 6 feet away.

Karl, keep enjoying the nice weather.

Hi Philip and Mike.

Got to visit with Mom and had lunch with brother.
Got a call from a friend and went to his house for dinner.
Other than The Skins losing another close one it was a very nice day.

Mow the lawn one last time today.
Go to work afterward and see what jobs are available.
Time in front of the stereo at night.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning from extremely nice So. Central Wisconsin. Another day into the mid to high 70’s. Tomorrow the weather channel says will be high 60’s till dark and then the realities of Fall should be here. We are going to enjoy while we can. The grandkids are here already for online Monday schooling. The school district parents want the school schedule to go back to full time in school. The entire school district from grade 3 up are full time online. Pre-k to 3rd grade are online on Mondays and then attend school in person Tuesday to Friday from 8-11am. Our 9 year granddaughter attends 4th grade Tuesday to Fridays because she is special needs with Down Sydrome. We have literally a brand new high school that has yet to see any students. IMO it is the Tal Mahal of high schools and our new taxes are going to reflect it. We have some strange parents in this school district. I would continue through the Xmas holidays and maybe in January try the full time.

The ethanol fermentation tanks finally sold yesterday so the entire plant has been sold. Laid out tracks yesterday.

Happy health to all
TomO

Good morning folks,

Rick, thanks for coffee. Good luck on the job selection. Enjoy your evening, sounds perfect. Sorry about the skins loss . The boys lost again too, but with a fourth string QB put up a valiant effort against the Steelers.

Hope you enjoy the wood, Jerry. I am looking forward to your photographs.

Overcast but 75F forecast for the day, rain 20%.

I hope to make it to the shop to work on the doors. I am ready!

Have fun and stay safe,
Mike

Morning,

Rick thanks for the coffee. Hey at least you didn't have to cook yesterday; those are my kind of days. Sorry to hear about your FB team loosing.

Jerry hope you enjoyed your beach time with friends while it's still nice out. Good luck at the Cardio Doc. Hope you get some answers and yes getting old kinda sucks.

Tom the whole school thing is rather annoying; I'm glad my daughter is grown up. Although we'll see if suddenly the whole thing goes away sometime after Jan 21st.

Mike the price of oak is crazy. It would cost a small fortune to do any sort of project. Have fun in the shop.

Karl hope your time up north is enjoyable.

Philip how's the project coming along. Hope Gina is doing well.

Another nice day with highs in the low 70's. Went to Wegmans this morning for the last of the trimmings for Turkey Day and ran into some of the upper management and they wondered why I haven't come back to work part time. I just pointed to my mask. Going to put up the outdoor Christmas decorations this afternoon on the front of the house while the weather is nice.

Enjoy your day and be safe along with staying healthy.

Good afternoon it is recess after lunchtime online learning Monday.

Larryc, sorry with over 225,000 dead it won’t disappear after 1/21/2021. The virus like flu is here to stay. We need to learn how to control it and then live with death results around the 20-30,000 yearly deaths the flu has. Can’t live with 225,000 in a 9 month period. The vaccine people said this morning that their vaccine is 92% effective on a test group. More tests but those good results are needed.

Cardio, what is this Cardio month. Best results to you Jerry, with walking the beach your BP should be good or is it the bikinis doing the rise in BP?

Mike, that is high priced.

Philip, ditto what Larry wrote!

Enjoy the day

Tom sorry if I "ruffled your feathers"; that certainly was not my intention and I certainly would never down play the deaths which was a horrible, horrible outcome. Being that this probably is not the place to discuss this, please feel free to PM me if you like to discuss the topic further. Again I apologize if what I wrote upset or caused you any distress.

Late afternoon greetings from Da Yoop. Sunny and fresh breezy temp in 50s today.

I blasted a freaking deer yesterday with my Tacoma at highway speed while headed to breakfast in Rapid River, the truck sustained a fair bit of damage but was drivable and no operating difficulties. I called the insurance company and filed the claim today to be fixed at the shop I worked at a couple of years after I retired. Just another black cloud over this horrible year.

Things moving well at the construction site, Hammerin’ Dan made the steps for the deck today and we met Rocky the drywall and paint character. He’s a real fit with all those fine folks we’ve dealt with up here. One could surely write a book full of remarkable characters.

We’re off to Bob’s fried fish are ready.
