Good morning folks. Rick, there is a Del Valle next to Austinís airport along the Colorado River. Is that the place you are asking about? My son lives in Austin.

A decent day today after yesterdayís almost perfect day. More stuff Terry has outdoors planned. Be safe.

Good morning everyone.

Coffee, hot water for tea and a variety of cold sodas are ready to go.

Showers likely, mainly after 2pm. Cloudy, with a high near 71.

Mike, hope Mom's check-up went well.

Karl, you must be excited seeing the progress being made at the new place.

Philip, so, what did you do?

Jerry, ore feeder progress?

Tom, did some reading on line and see that there are some areas that are OK and others are not.
Still planning a nice road trip before making a decision and seeing what I'll like.

Got my flowers planted yesterday.
Looks like with the rain coming I won't need to water them today.
I'll try to get something done outside after my bike ride and before any rain starts.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning,

Rick, thanks for coffee. Mom canceled her doctors appointment yesterday because she didn't feel like getting out.

It rained all night and promises to rain today and through next week. 94F is forecast for the high today. Muggy!

Rick, what kind of flowers did you plant?

Have fun and stay safe,
Mike

Good morning from a wet So. Central Wisconsin because 5% turned into a 100% passing 1/4Ē passing sprinkle. Rick, you better enjoy heat, high year round humidity and high housing costs if you are thinking anything in the Austin area. But, it is a very vibrant thriving exciting community. Plus. there is a great chance Tesla will be building a Gigafactory about 6 miles East of where you are looking. My son rented a house for a couple years in Hornsby Bend across the Colorado River from Del Valle.

We have more flowers to be planted today but now delayed because of the ground being wet. I am not plant expert thatís Terry, This yearís color is white except for the spikey plant in each of the 72 pots we filled yesterday. Enjoy your day and stay safe.

Well, good morning crew! It's been ages since I visited. Thanks for checking in on me. All is good. We moved from the BC mainland to Vancouver Island in November and I've been busy training the new dog, getting the new house running, trying to find a new job, etc. The pandemic threw a wrench into everything, of course. I purposely stayed away from the internet so as not to lose hours a day surfing. The garage, which is to eventually become my man-cave, is still not set up and so my RR is still packed away. Once I make room for the crap that currently inhabits the space, I can start making it into a proper room (insulated floor, cabinetry, etc). Speaking of....has anyone insulated a concrete garage floor for themselves? I am debating whether to just put down 2'x2' insulated wood tiles, as found at Home Depot, and then covering with vinyl planking or putting down furring strips with rigid insulation and plywood sheets and then vinyl planking. I like the former for speed and ease. It will mean having a bit of a slope to the exterior door, of course.
The area is great for inspiration though. There is the BC Forestry museum up the road with a Shay parked out front (have to wait for pandemic to ease before it re-opens), the trails through the forest nearby are perfect for scenery inspiration, and the old Esquimalt & Nanaimo rail runs just behind my house. There are lots of trestles to visit nearby as well!
Anyway, I thought I would stop in and see what's what. I hope everyone is doing well.
Cheers,
Dave

Sunny and clear late afternoon in upper Michigan. Our crew came in and poured the floor for the basement and dig out the 2nd readymix truck that backed up a few feet too much. We the drove an hour West to builder supply checking out windows and exterior stuff

But the highlight of the Dollís birthday: Sat in a real restaurant and had a steak dinner!!

Siting on beach soaking up sun. Have a good weekend all!!

Good morning everyone.

Coffee, hot water for tea and a variety of cold sodas are ready to go.

Scattered showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 8am. Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 74.

Mark, so very happy to hear from you.
I sent you an email a few months ago and never heard back.
Guess it went to spam folder.

David, also very happy to hear from you.
What kind of dog? pic?
Good luck with job search and getting the RR back up.

Karl, sitting in a restaurant.
Thank is good news.

Hi Randy.

Philip, nice little station.
Have fun building it.

Tom, I keep debating about where to live and climate is a big factor, along with taxes and housing prices.
I do tolerate heat much better than cold.

Hi Jerry.
Not a beach today today for sure.

Mike, the only thing I know I bought are pansies.
I bought three perennials and the rest are annuals.
Here are some pics.

Sorry for the long post today.

Have a great day everyone.
