Hi everyone, this truck is from the "Miniature Rapid Motor Co. a division of SS LTD."
was a tricky little truck to build.
Especially the front fenders, which are supported by tiny .010 wires.
I'm not certain if this truck ever existed in the real world or not.
The instruction sheet says it was designed by and drawn by a John Herrmann, in 1976.
With no other additional info regarding this truck like vehicle.
Anyways here's how my finished Autocar with stake body, came out looking.

Awesome rig, Greg! Very nice!

Looks like a pre-1920 rig, with the engine under the seat. Google images may help....

There is a video on U-tube of a Jay Lenoís garage where he and Dennis Gage, the handlebar mustache guy actually drive an old Autocar truck similar to this. Just watched it earlier this week. https://youtu.be/9d0-D7II4lo

Pete, Karl & Jerry & George, thanks for your interest in this and for your posts.

Karl, that video clip with Jay was great!
I love the red coloured frame, I wish I would have seen this before I built mine.

Great looking vehicle Greg. You did a fine job once again.
A little history if you are interested about John Herrmann; SS LTD was created by John Coots as a side business started SS LTD back in 1968. He incorporated the talents of John Herrmann and several other modeling artists to help build the large inventory of small cast metal super detail parts that were used extensively within the modeling community and outward into the worlds of museums and architectural modeling.

Greg, your Autocar looks really good, and I mean this in the nicest possible way...it's a vehicle
that looks to me like it should have a long string tied to the front bumper and a little kid pulling it down the sidewalk...
no offense intended to your modeling or the model...

Louis & Bill, thanks for your posts and nice words!
Louis, thanks also for that additional information regarding John Herrmann, and his involvement in SS LTD. They don't make kits like these ones anymore.

Bill, it is a tiny truck, and it does have a toy like look to it, especially in HO scale.
So I totally understand what you are saying regarding it's appearance.
