yep. that's right. i'm a golden shellback. i haven't seen this thing in 44 yrs. i ordered a frame for it today.

Wow, I wish I had mine, I got you by just over 10 years. July 4th, 1966, we hoisted the Jolly Roger, and the foreign freighter that was watching a 65,000 ton aircraft carrier scooted over the horizon. Arrgh! Kiss the Royal Baby! , and get wacked with multiple pieces of firehose. The stylish prisoner haircuts were the best! The folks in Olongapo went scooting like that freighter!  Excellent find Kevin.

holy crap did you generate some flashbacks....
olongapo....whoa.
magsaysay boulevard. sh*t river. bonka boats, monkey meat, and everyone's favorite: whatever that drink was they made pitchers of with vodka, rum and about 5 different fruit juices. 10 points to whoever can name it.
i've google earthed olongapo recently and it is nothing like it was.

i got the signs from my son yesterday, and i decided to take the plunge and ordered a package of pico leds from evans engineering.
headscratching to follow.....

That would be the Pink_drink.
I pulled SP duty on New Years Eve in the big O, 12/31/66-1/1/1967 got back on base 1/3/67. Just a tad rowdy!

i built three light boxes to light up the double doors, the two windows on the far left and an upstairs window.
i'm also going to light the veranda bar and i'll probably end up buying a light pole for the dock area....

i rebuilt the lightbox on the lower left side so it could be viewed from the side and the front, and i put in a poker game...

and from the side.
i kinda figured when i was cutting out the scale playing cards (2.5" x 3.5" "regulation") and glued em to the table top they wouldn't be seen, but i know they're there
the four figures were the only seated figures in a box of 100 really crappy o scale figures, and they're all in the same pose, but this seemed like a perfect way to use some of em up.
i have another standing figure painted up and i will glue him in so you can see his silhouette in one of the front windows.
