Kevin (Kebmo) has asked me to notify everyone that he is sadly unable to successfully log on to RRLines any more.
Therefore he hasn't been able to update this thread.

However, he is still posting this build over on the Sierra West Forum, under his thread titled:

"yet another o scale railroad camp build"

Carl, I've been wondering what happened to Kevin, and this build.
How does one get this infliction of not being able to sign on to RRLines?

Maybe Rick or Joe can figure out that mystery. Sounds like a browser setting/security issue. Firefox and Chrome can be a little persnickety. Try a different browser. Nice work, Kevin!!!

Adding individual siding boards might be tedious and make you cross-eyed, Kevin, but the look is fantastic. BTW, the cue sticks and rack are a great detail!

Kevin, glad to see that you have worked out the problem, and that you can now continue your build here on RRLines.
Looking forward to seeing what you have done!

well, not alot of progress since losing my connection with the forum, but tha's primarily because i'm waiting for a friend to make some signs for me so i can finish the front and right walls with signs and glue them to these guys:

[i'm impressed, i remembered how to post a picture]
and then staged this shot:

my intent for the rear wall was 'an old wall that wasn't maintained'. before i sided the clapboard it hit it with a dark a/i.
when i prepared the boards i gave them extra grain, and put knots in about 70 of them. then i hit some with black chalk and washed it in with alcohol, and i used umber chalks on the rest of the boards. when i damp brushed i was stingier with the paint that i was on the other walls.

lotsa windows on the back of this thing.

enogh of the windows, here's a door

and until i get the signs...this is where i stop.
