Louis, that's great. But one night while I was online on this forum, an anonymous member was posting for 58 minutes, What he was doing there, was no concern to me, but why stay on so long if nothing was happening on their end? Makes sense if that person has a lot of time on their hands and never builds anything...

Rich, if their computer is left on within RR-L, and they have left the computer, the clock still shows them as being logged on. Hence the 58 minutes.
If you log on to RR-L and test yourself, look at the site for 5 minutes, leave your computer logged on, go get a cup of coffee, come back 10 minutes later, and the site will show you been on for 15 minutes.

Thanks for the explanation Louis, but I already knew that. I'm trying to see what happens when I am on two computers at the same time. One computer shows me as anonymous, (because I didn't sign in), even though I'm an active member, and I am viewing online users, which shows me online as an active user.
the other shows me as an active user. BUT, the active user one is not correct, because I'm looking within a posted thread instead. So, this tells me that a person can "surf through a thread", and no one can see what they are viewing, using two computers at the same time.

You don't want to do that at Starbuck's it'll cost too much.

Rob, thanks for letting me know about that option.
Been a long time since I changed my profile and never noticed that option.

I did change it to 'No' and now I'm curious if I'm anonymous to the rest of you.
If I click on Online Users I still see my name.
And I have yet to see an anonymous user.
Maybe being an Admin I still see the users name.

Regardless, I agree with Louis and this whole topic is beating a dead horse.
There's usually 100 Guests online, mostly Bots, and we don't have any idea who they are.
And who cares.
I've never worried about it.

Go build something and work on your layouts and enjoy the hobby.

"THE CREW LOUNGE" - description: Join us for some general off-topic discussion...is why I posted the thread there. It's a discussion, but not about "modeling".

Most generally, commenters missed my point in the first post I made, as well as the many who posted since, construing it into something else. Of which I am not surprised.

Is this your main concern? - "Can anyone explain to us why this is allowed? "

Rich, best guess is that it is a standard feature of the Snitz software.
