Hello everyone since I have retired I have been spending a lot of time working on my Layout. Also I have been building some structures for some friends. I'm scratch building a copy of Emporium Seafood Company. I have the main build finished and am working on the dock. I was wondering if anyone has a good way to do barnacles. I plan on posting the build later. Thanks for the help.

i've seen n scale ballast used effectively for barnacles....

the only mystery in life is...why did the kamikaze pilots wear helmets?

These barnacles were made using Woodland Scenics fine (N scale) ballast.

Mike,

I used fine sand/glue and weathering powders to use for mine for HO scale.

Use the finest sand you can find and paint it white.
