Very realistic, Kevin. You have a nice variation in colors that occurs with rough stone walls like this.

thanks mike. it's a very time consuming process. it's all done with washes (5) per the instruction manual.

carl,
they are acrylic paints mixed 80/20 with water, water being the 80%:
raw sienna
burnt umber
light gray
medium gray
dark gray
[edit] keep in mind these stone walls are resin castings and not hydrocal. they were first primed with white kilz from a rattle can.

Kevin, it looks like your now building on a strong foundation of stone colours.
Nice work!

The stone looks good to me.

And I like the way you got it to hover over the table.

i finished the stone walls tonight and got the windows and the door in. i got three beers into it and decided i better stop before i screw something up.
the square is holding the door while the epoxy sets up.

now i move on to the loading dock.

Looks good Kevin.

However, I see almost none of the raw sienna from Bretts 5 color wash recipe.

Is it me, the photo, or did it lose the battle of the grays?

carl,
i used the raw sienna very judiciously. there's a touch of it in the lower right part of the wall, and there's a little bit of it on the other walls.
