While I watch paint dry..... Now I just purchased a 4-4-0 on the bay. Anyone kit bashed one of these?

Because of the tight end corners this little fella will have to go from the log pond through down town and a turnoff to the sawmill.

I have a Forney 2-4-4 that shorts out the track, I'm thinking of robbing the sound card and speaker for the 4-4-0. Any thoughts?

On your trackwork - watch some 1:1 scale narrow gauge video clips from a similar perspective. You may find that your track is quite accurate. As long as you can operate reliably and the railhead joints are smooth, I'd call it good.

On the forney sound - maybe. If you aren't going to fix the forney short or chop it into a 2-4-0, that may be a good reuse of the sound and the speaker. However, I haven't looked at a forney speaker and compared it with the 4-4-0's speaker opening. Also, if you pull the dcc be certain that you know what wire goes were before removal and trace out the 4-4-0's so that you can pair the connections properly.
