Hi all. I am not sure whether it is usual for a new member to post a new topic. As there are only a few topics in this area of the forum - I wanted to be sure that this is OK before posting further.

My layout is not excessively large and is sited in the loft in the Vicarage. The available space is 14ft by 8ft and the layout runs round three sides of the space all at one level.

I have been modelling Hereford's railways in N gauge for a number of years. The vicarage loft has provided excellent space to do this. This has resulted in a growing interest in the North West Railway Route through the Welsh Marches. Before undertaking the construction of the model I explored the area around Hereford both in person and on line. The link below provides details of some of the websites I visited while exploring the potential of the area around Hereford for modelling:

Hear, hear, Roger. Anxious to see photos of your efforts. Our N activity on the site is erratic at best (I'm quite guilty on that charge). This is the topic area I access several times a week to see if any of the regular N people have posted updates.

You may provide some reward for my efforts now.

Welcome aboard.

Are you happy for me to provide links to things I have already produced?

This is the first short post and shows the room constructed in the loft of the Vicarage and the construction of the layout boards.

It looks like you have some challenges in constructing a layout in a loft. Keep us up to date on your progress.

One of the iconic structures which was part of the station at Hereford was the platform signal box.

The footbridge at Hereford Barrscourt Station has recently been completely rebuilt. Until then the skeleton of the old footbridge remained in place but in a much less photogenic condition than the original. The old footbridge bore some similarities to the one at Gloucester.
