I AM TRYING TO FIND ANYONE WHO KNOWS ABOUT PBL SOUND SYSTEMS THAT COULD GIVE ME SOME IDEAS ON PROBLEMS. I BUILT MY LARGE LAYOUT AROUND THIS UNIT BUT NOW I AM IN A CORNER. TOO OLD TO SWITCH TO DCC AND CANT AFFORD TO CONVERT 12 LOCOMOTIVES.

The unit will come on and start the air pump, but when you press the remote all you get is a quick blink and nothing happens. the other SSII starts the air pump then will not respond to the remote at all. he SSI that I have also flashes quick but nothing works.
Thanks for you help!

IIRC the air pump is a taped sound. Is the tape still good? Do you have a regular cassette tape player? Try playing the tape in it to see if it still works. In my player I had one of the reading heads come loose so that it wasn't reading the tape any more.
