Thanks, Rich. Here's the Woody I did before the blue one. It's for my layout.

Here's a look at the other side and the original with the original version on the left.

Bill, every time I see your packed up woody wagon, it reminds me of our family road trips when I was a kid.
No seatbelts, kids standing on the front seat, Kids sitting in the way way back.
Dad smoking a cigarette while in the car, with us kids.
And we all made it out of it alive!
Very cool vehicle modelling!

Is that a large boom-box on the tailgate?

Fred,
It's a dip net for fishing that's sitting in front of a gray box of camping gear. Scroll up to the backend view and you can see the gap between them. Also there are fishing poles in the aluminum tube with black end caps tucked behind the bike.

Yes, Bill, I can see it now. My gut feeling was that it probably was not a boom-box back in '48.

Fred, The Woody is a '48, but my C&VRR is set in 1954. A boom box then would have been the size of a refrigerator and the headphones came with a helmet :)
The net was made with wire, some fine mesh (Nylon?) from a fancy teabag and hair, used to attach the mesh to the loop and to wrap the handle.

Greg, missed our comment. Thanks. We took trips like that too.My brother and I usually tried to squeeze into the wayback, depending on how much other stuff was there.

Here is a simple upgrade that Chester Fesmire did to a Life-Like dump truck by replacing the undersized tires and wheels with some from a Jordan school bus.

That inspired me to do the same.

You know fellas, I was on Chester Fesmire's 1/87th Blog website and at the bottom of every submitted album page he wrote " It's hard to walk when you have a woody"... How true !!
