In a time like ours seemings and portents signify. Ours is a generation when dogs howl and the skin crawls on the skull with its beast's foreboding.

And you'll have to double that number since there are 2, 2!, cars,

Use the Masai counting system, popular in Kenya: None, One, Some, Many.

It looks beautiful in the raw like this. The individual boards give it a very realistic appearance.

I certainly hope so, But it also provides me with a means to use up some odd HO sizes of basswood that do a great job of standing in for an O scale build,

Thanks! Have to make good notes on this one as it's going to be a little trickier than most. Probably should pour RTV and resin,

Ends built and inserted; connecting tie rods all around top to bottom inserted.

The tie rods add so much to your model. Nicely done.

With all the vertical and diagonal wooden bracing, what was the purpose of the tie rods?

The bracing holds the sides together; the tie rods hold the sides in place anchored to the side sills and underbody. Sort of like the anchor bolts holding the framing of your house onto the foundation.

Wood boxcars had tie rods inside the framing of the sides connecting the sides down onto the sills, too.

Slope sheets installed with supports, etc. Fun getting everything beveled and matching...
