Hello all. So. Wisconsin is ice covered and a mess. Lots of schools are running late or closed. Weather person said another 1/3” ice expected by noon. I almost used a 5 gallon pail of ice melt yesterday, more of the same today.
Rick thanks for getting us going, the diet Dr. peppers are definitely needed this morning. No breakfast today but like last week and the Polar Vortex it is a horse feeding day then trains. Enjoy and have a safe day

Good morning crew! Thanks for the coffee, Rick. The cold continues (such as it is). My daughter's boyfriend contacted me yesterday, he wants to "talk about his future with Catie". I sense a marriage proposal on the way. He is a fantastic kid; it would be great. Or son's getting married in June, we can't handle two weddings this year. Yipes! Have a great day! Cheers, Dave

Good morning everyone.
Coffee, hot water for tea and diet Dr. Peppers are ready to go.
Some rain in the AM but that will end around noon when things start to warm up to the low 50's but there will be wind gusts over 20 mph.
Jerry, I see you read my past experience.
Did do a short bike ride yesterday. Only 8 miles but felt got to be riding again.
Have a great day everyone.

It warmed up finally to the low 40s, long enough to melt some ice, I saw a problem with overflow on the eves trough and drug a ladder out and found a major blockage from fallen crabapples, we had a bumper crop this year. Dang the water was cold...got the blockage cleared. The crabapple comes down this spring. Overnight the weather took another dramatic plunge to this morning;s 15 with 25mph winds and snow. Thankfully we dont live 20 mile farther N, they didn’t get the warm up and the rain froze causing a massive outage all the way over to Grand Rapids and it’s suburbs. They’re giving restoration estimates to Sunday and even Monday for some.
My curser has suddenly disappeared. I guess I better go look for it.
Everyone have a good day.

Curses, the cursor is gone, boy I hate when I lose my...
Good morning from very frozen Wisconsin. Maybe another 1/2” of ice yesterday afternoon. Lots of power outages. It went from 28f to 10 degrees in less than 2 hours with fierce winds. I have a ice rink in the driveway, unfortunately it is 1/2 mile long driveway. It is +3 now with a wind chill of -18 and heading east.
Went to the fitness center after slowly navigating the driveway. Roads are iffy in spots. They have enough sand down to create a new beach. I loaded 2, 5 gallon pails of ice melt into the salt hopper on the ATV. When it warms up, Maybe +15 they say, I will attack the drive. Same cold tomorrow and Sunday it warms up so 2-4” of white can cover the landscape.
Thanks for the diet Pepper, everyone stay safe.

Good morning, crew. I feel for you guys freezing your butts off. Snow threatening here which sends all the drivers into a panic. Mom-in-law's birthday today so we are taking her out. Also, as predicted, our daughter is engaged so we will celebrate that as well. December wedding. So that will be two kids getting married this year - they're falling like dominoes. Couldn't be happier for all of them - I wish I had my s*!t together like they do, when I was their age. Cheers, Dave

Tom, we will help them out a bit but they both have money saved up and aren't looking for anything. Thankfully they aren't doing anything elaborate either. Thanks, Dave

Good morning everyone.
Coffee, hot water for tea and diet Dr. Peppers are ready to go.
Sunny today but winter returns with highs only in the mid 30's.
Dave, congratulations on your upcoming weddings.
Tom, stay safe in the cold and the ice.
Karl, any luck with the cursor?
Jerry, what's up?
A little too cold for me to ride outside today. Going to set up the trainer and get some miles in inside.
Have a great day everyone.

Good morning from warming So. Wisconsin. High today will be 20. Ice melt says it works at +10 and above so I will be spreading later.
Thanks Rick for getting us going, the diet Dr. Pepper is needed today. I have a headache, went to bed too late and up too early. I will do some painting today on the pipe bridges for my paper mill. Enjoy your day.
