Good morning from wet So. Wisconsin, it drizzled last night.

Xmas shopping, I used to wait till Christmas Eve to shop for the wife. One reason was money, usually had to wait for the Xmas check, always took care of the kids 1st but Terry and I were last. The other reason was time, December usually had me working weekends, that went on for about 12 years.

Thanks for the diet Dr Pepper, cold and great tasting.

Morning everyone

Rick thanks for the coffee.

We have eggs anyway you want them. Sides of bacon, sausage & home fries. Toast & English muffins with butter and jams and jelly's.

Weather here in South Jersey cloudy/22.

Were off to see Diane's oldest son and his wife today. Then grocery shopping on the way back.

Nothing from the bench yesterday. Will try later to get some time in.

Everyone have a great day!!

Rain and 40 in MI. It hit 48 when I was out yesterday in the sun. Mondayís $1.99 gas was back to $2.15 yesterday. Highlight of the day was a haircut.

Iíll have some of Jerryís breakfast then get at todayís tasks. I heard rumors of the tree arriving.

Great day all.

Thanks for the coffee, Rick, and Jerry for cooking.
I did get my wood at the end of the day but he did a poor job of planing it. I don't know how you can get an uneven thickness going through a planer. Anyway, thankfully it was too thick in many places and I was able to hand plane it down and sand it to the right thickness (1/4"). Had to reset my table saw blade because, all of a sudden it wasn't 90 degrees to the table but more like 85. By 1130 hrs I had my parts sanded and cut, dadoes done and ready for stain. Then I found out my son is coming to visit tonight so there's another evening lost!
Anyway, only 3 more days of work!!
Cheers,
Dave

Good morning. Thanks for the diet Dr. Pepper, I need it and some aspirin. No idea why I am sore but I am.

Breakfast at home this morning for 19 people. The kitchen is busy but the house is still quiet. The daughter and family got back from vacation yesterday afternoon and will be here in an hour for breakfast. The quiet will be gone then. I have 2 guys in the trainroom running trains and one of them wonít put the ProtoThrottle down, or share.

There is a museum visit this afternoon but I am staying home. The grill needs cleaning, thatís my excuse and I am sticking to it.

Enjoy your day

Rain and 40 this morning, cooling during the day is forecast with a peek of sun possible.

Christmas shopping today.

The Doll and I picked out her present yesterday. The jewelers had suffered a smash and grab a couple days earlier and the front door was covered with plywood. Sheís quite happy with the ice chips.

Everyone have a fine day.

Good morning folks,

Rick, thanks for coffee.

Philip, thanks for breakfast.

It's going to be a beautiful day on the Brazos. It is clear at 30F now, but heading to 63F this afternoon. Wind at 10mph compared to 30 mph yeasterday. I thought it was going to blow the trees down and shingles off the roof.

Handing out widows Christmas baskets today, then my favorite German restaurant tonight, followed by a local theater production of a Christmas Carol. Going to be a fun day.

Happy rails,
Mike

Thanks for the coffee, Rick.
Mike, that sounds like a heckuva day - enjoy!
Tom, sounds like you are in for a whirlwind of a day.
Our son announced his engagement last night. He proposed to his girlfriend on a beach in North Vancouver yesterday in the middle of the wildest windstorm ever. But where everywhere else it was cloudy and stormy, for them the sun was shining and it was a beautiful (albeit windy) day. Steph is excited in anticipation of grandbabies in the (far) future.
Cheers,
Dave
