Frank, if I had laid the wood grain horizontally instead of vertical I don't think I could have been able to bend around the back corners.

Carl B, I am interested to see how this will turn out also. There might be more long pauses as I figure things out.

So, the cockpit sides are formed and made extra tall on purpose to let me trim the bottom to fit.

drew out and cut the port & starboard cockpit seats. put some supports and a front on the port one to see if I want a front.

work going forward on the starboard seat.

when everything has been trimmed and ready to glue down I will mimic a wood grate to fit the deck of the cockpit out of .010" styrene.

as it seems everything is still working out as hoped .. onward...
