And nice work painting those little guys.
Thanks Frank. No worries that I will run out of corks any time soon. I have around 30 soldiers left to paint. I just got in 8 canon models and a second tank to build. They all white metal kits. I built 1.75 18 LB Canon today. They are very time consuming kits.

Beautiful job painting the figures Larry. The corks are a great idea. How are you facing the figure to the corks'?

Thank you, I torture each and every figure by drilling a hole in the foot / leg and glue in a piano wire peg. This allows me to temporarily attach them to a scene and move them about. It also keeps them in the corks.

Thanks Philip, I too need to build trees - they will be all destroyed so it will be a different experience than you are having.

Next Friday will be my first public showing of the concept for my Railroad. I will not take any modules but will take a number of models, my Pizza layout, and the start of the video pieces of the layout.
I will be running at least two screens, one with a 300 page slide show, one with the movie "They shall not grow old" and possibly a third showing actual footage of WW1 trains running.
Here are two screens with display in a test mode.

Hi kebmo, I supplied Larry with the figures as Phill has problems sending to the USA it will be more expensive soon as your postage rates will go up soon. Write to PLM Cast-A-Ways, 12 New Street, Merryhill, Wolverhampton, West Midlands WV3 7NW UK He doesn't do the internet he has several ranges of 7mm (1:43 scale figures Catalogues from £1.50 + 60p p&p UK) and accessories all made out of white metal - so there heavy and cost a lot to post.
I hope this is of help

Hi Larry, not sure if I mentioned to you in our last e-mail, I ordered figures from both of the companies you sent me'... ModelU 3-D are completely outstanding. QUick shipping and Alen, provides excellent service'.. S&D also, very good pewter, models. just a tad large in 1/43. But again very good service and fast shipping from England'...Thanks again for providing this fabulous information'.. Good luck with your presentation'..

Ted, Glad I could help.
I'm back from my first live showing. I did get a chance to try the Cannon train on a test layout. For those on Facebook, I hope this link works. https://www.facebook.com/larry.knapp.90/videos/2676221105731642/
Also I have ordered a resistance soldering unit. Moving on to some brass models that need attention.
