"Pitty" that all those beautiful weathered tracks may be/ are(?) covered with ballast/mud, weeds or anything else...;-)

Exactly, track will be covered with everything you stated :) I intend to make it look very old, used, weathered. But I think that track will still be very visible through all layers...
