Ted, well I was actually a boatman for about 12 years. Iím calling on my aging memories to help me out.

Bryan, thanks.

Frank, yes they did, I was able to get a couple of ideas, thanks.

Speaking of Bavaria, I hope you have sobered up since Oktoberfest. + = ??

The last of the details were added today. I ordered a Freighter Winch from BlueJacket Ship Crafters. Iíve always received nicely detailed and clean cast parts from them but this was a dog. It was oval instead of round. I had to file it to get it to look close to right. It had a power gizmo attached but I cut it off because there just wasnít any room. Since I made the wheel house with a 3-panel front the room left over was pretty small.

This is it; Iím calling the tug boat 99.9% finished. All Iím waiting for now is to come up with a name and either cut out on the letters with the laser and glue them to the transom or make a stencil and paint the name on.

THE END

Well, the end of Part One, parts 2 and 3 will come later, later-later. Iím going back to my HO stuff for a while.

Sounds like you made a rusty winch out of pig's ear, but it looks good!
And since that wraps up part one, it'll be good to see what HO stuff you work on :)

Frank,

What Bill said!

And since you're looking for names, how about "Ilse?" Germanic, female and short, which is easier to fit on and paint....

Bill, go directly to 23-ton boxcabs and do not pass go.

Pete, I was thinking of something more like, ďHšssliches Entleinď.

David, thank you very much.

Frank,

It's been a boatload of entertainment looking over your shoulder. Will it tug at your heartstrings to devote your modeling time to other projects?

Mike
